Yuou have to go into your router (more than likely 192.168.1.1) and open a port for Limewire to talk to your PC on.

You will "forward" port 6836 (as an example) to yout PC IP address. To find out your IP address click Start, Click Run, type in CMD and hit enter. A DOS prompt will come up and then type IPCONFIG and hit enter. You will see your PC IP address.

Good Luck. If you need more help Google your router brand and the words "port forwarding".

your computer might be behind a firewall.

just go to your windows defender and make sure its not blocking Limewire.
