  • In my Red N64 controller, my cord looks very twisted and the wire itself is very creased does it need replacing?

  • @TheUnknownL Yes, you need to replace it if its already malfunctioning. We do accept repairs for N64 controllers. Please our website for more information.

  • I can get a replacement joystick off of Amazon.com for 5 bucks, looks just like the original and the reviews are really good. My red N64 controller is the one that needs it the most, although I might get a few extra ones (for when I get more N64 controllers with loose joysticks), as well as one for my jungle-green controller.

  • a black wire from the mother board disconected from the analog stick thing! how can i put it back or am i fucked?

  • What's the liquid solution? Alcohol?

  • @trudyandgeorge Its a special cleaning solution that removes all the dirt oxidation and corrosion that causes your games to not work.

  • do you ever open up the analog stick and lube it up with some WD40 to prevent further friction and decay?

  • @Solidstryker: No don't use WD40 because it's too thin. Instead you should lube the analog stick with ceramic grease which you can purchase at most major bicycle shops. The ceramic grease is rather thick so you won't really have to use much but it will reduce friction which will substantially add to the analog stick's lifespan.

  • @furballbear

    Thanks I might try that.
