Actually all you need is to port your heads and intake and get a good set of cams and a KB is more than enough to lay down over 550rwhp in a 99gt. You'll actually be laying down close to 600rwhp by then. Whether or not it stays together and for how long will be another story.

The funny part is, Camaro guy spends nearly 30k on buying his car. Mustang guy buys his car and MAYBE spends 25k on it if hes getting extravagant with it. Granted this difference being the Camaro is newer thus pretty interior and will be around perhaps longer.

@sunnymuffins13208 wrong way buddy... he bought a 03 cobra which goes for about average 22k used (depending on mileage)... then puts a kennebell which is about 7-8k new... so were talking 29k so far, plus supporting mods which is about 2-3k so maybe 32k give or take

Factory stock. Maybe you've gotten lucky and gotten some 2010 camaros with weak drivers. Just like the GT500's ive taken.Ive seen dozens of 2010s running 13s because they cant drive. You should know slow, buddy. So we'll take your analysis of "looked like a V6 it was so slow" as an expert opinion in slow.

My comment was in response to yours about how your 117,000 mile GT with a KB "smokes new camaros" I simply said that the ones you beat must have had weak drivers. Ive seen pathetic drivers in 2010 camaros too. But like I said, your mustang goes 8.39.(im not even going to get into how pathetic it is for a supercharged mustang to be running low 13s) But you do have knowledge of SLOW :)

@sixty9fordkiller 8.39 on street tires in florida where it 99 degrees at night with 100% humidity. 8.39 wasent my best run , just one that my nephew went and had his camara. the car makes 408 rwhp , it goes faster then that. i dont care if it wasent a great time it just happens to be a video i have. but what ever man ! go to the track , take a video, put it up and show us how fast you are.

pictures and everything. And that one was wayyyyy back on 20" stock wheels and tires and when the car was completely stock in similar weather conditions at Fontana, CA. Car dynoed at 391rwhp BONE STOCK and went 12.8s. Its puts out much more than 391rwhp now. And just like you, i go to the track too. But the point was never about how fast who is. The point was the fact the YOU should know what SLOW IS :)

And for the record, my first pass bone stock ever on the car was 12.87. My best ever bone stock was 12.82. I learned to drive the car before i took it to the track. So yeah, i can drive. The Camaro guys have bragged that the Camaros were "Faster than the Mustangs" for some magical reason... It's simple- Similar weight both cars and alot less HP in the older stangs (leaving out the insane 2011 5.0) no magic about it... When the 03-04 Cobra's swap just the supercharger and walk even supercharged Camaro's then everyone gets upset????

@cantbsdave out of the factory the 03/04 termies were faster than the ls3 camaro is now, ya dont find too many stock termies, the main problem with 2010 for the mustang was just power, ask any reviewer, ford got smart quick this round and pumped out the coyote engine and TiVCT engine linup, either way, id still pick ford or gm over anything else

@ADD8oi well, the 03/04 cobras are/were fast even out of the factory. vs an L99 2010 Camaro, yeah, i can see a factory cobra beating it. But vs a stock LS3 it would be a driver's race. The LS3 (manual tranny 2010s) make more horsepower than the L99 (auto 2010s) Add the fact that the manual drivetrain sucks less % of HP/TQ than an AUTO and you can see why the LS3 puts more to % of its power down. LS3s average dyno at 375-385RWHP stock. Mine did 391rwhp. L99s average 335ish RWHP.

i know there aren't too many stock terminators around these days (like you said), but your assessment only applies to L99 Camaros. Not LS3s. A 5thgen SS automatic and a 5thgen SS manual are basically 2 different cars. you dont see many L99s run a 12 second 1/4 mile. For LS3s, 12.6s to 12.8s is where most have clocked in with the stock 20s. Thats pretty much about as much as a bone stock cobra couldve handled.
