There is no real artistic merits in a figure skating fall though the drama can be quite intense. Also I find that the more people fall, the more points that are taken off depending on the ability for the skater to make a complete recovery to finish the program. Also, some figure skaters fall more often than others. But while you do think that figure skating falls are funny, I don't think they are all that funny.
