the most funny part about this was....he really did get that car.and it was 800 hp.but he did give it back because it was too powerful.....and the car killed its next owner.
Even though I've had this on vinyl for decades, this might be the first time I've ever heard it! I have quite a lot of his records, but, for me, his classic era ended with, "To Russell, My Brother, Whom I Slept With". I kinda started to get away from him when he started doing, "The Cosby Kids" and making jazz albums
I first heard this in the late 60s and was playing it one night very late. I laughed so hard that I woke up the entire house! To this day one of the finest examples of standup comedy in my opinion. Its still as funny today-one of the highlights of my life, and it was a privilege listneing to it.
Well, if you know how long the album is, you basically divide that by 4 and that'll give you a clue as to where they'd split the tracks. However, quite often, they'd re-arrange the running order to try to make everything fit nicely without splitting tracks. Divide the total by 4 and try to re-arrange the running order to fit without splitiing, that'll tell you how they probably did it.
@RedVynil Oh!! Etc.!! I wondered why so many people kept saying ect. Etcetera. Think of Peter Cetera, from the band, Chicago, then add an Et in front of it.
I never liked 8-tracks. Too fragile & flimsy & VERY prone to get eaten by the player, + the fact that they almost ALWAYS split tracks right in the middle. Cassette was the way to go. Although, I once joked with my ex-guitarist that I'd get an open reel tape deck put in the dashboard. He countered with getting a player piano put in the dash.

@RedVynil
I always liked how the metal splicing tape comes apart with 8-track cartridges.
