What is the math behind getting 10 Armor Pen instead of 12? I'd think any difference in clear time would be extremely minute. Just curious.

Having tried to work out why I kept dying to mini golems I discovered that I needed to take mastery points in Strength of Spirit and Harden skin instead of dodge+nimbleness to complete the whole path unassisted.

In terms of creep management, what's the advantage to going blue first? Is it worth the lost gold from cloth+5 pots as opposed to Vamp Scepter?

@fistedpony You're harder to counterjungle since it's easier to recover if you have cloth armor and potions. You generally finish your jungle healthier as well, and faster, so it allows for fast and safer ganks. But idk why you're asking this, I don't think Jarvan is capable of jungling with a Scepter anyway.

@NoonanZero I just did it before looking at this video, using Atk Speed Blues, Armor Yellow, AD Quints, 3 AS Red and 6 Armor Pen Reds with 16/3/11 masteries. Use superior route (wolves->wraiths->doublegolems­). This is just a first try using some of my other jungler pages though, so there's probably better sets.

Hey stonewall, do you think that tank jarvan is a good idea? And I've heard that jarvan needs a lot of farm as an offtank: so if he goes offtank, is it still a good idea to jungle?

@Wouterdobbels Sometimes I have to play as tank jarvan while jungling. It works if your team have really strong, reliable damage output. But even as a tank Jarvan should get Atma for the damage, or at least a trinity force by late game (4th or 5th item).

But yes, Jarva needs plenty of farming to be a sturdy tank. Unless the enemy team is AD heavy because of his natural passive armor gain.

@kalorathekau bad idea. Jarvan's true power is the lvl 2 gank and this is just way better with bluebuff (androute + items saintvicous does, starting with clotharmor sucks)

@soccermenace W doesn't increase your health unless you activate, and it depends on CHAMPIONS around you. At rank 1, it's only a 50 health shield. Completely pointless.
