So why is one ultra slow rep the best way of doing an exercise for strength gains?
I"m not asking out of skeptism like most people would. I'm just curious and I open my mind to methods that seem to be totally crazy. Methods defying the traditional rules of thumb in bodybuilding.
Is one rep of a minute better than say, 8-15 faster reps?

The faster you go, the more momentum you use. The slower you go, the more muscle you use.
Always go as slow as YOU possibly can.
The number of reps is meaningless - what counts is the total amount of time that the muscle is under load.
