Umm isn't Islam just a religion. I think most people put their culture, heritage and customs first. This looks like an Indian wedding to me. I have been to a couple of Muslim weddings and they were lavish and they focused on culture at the reception not religion.

i'm not a muslim but i have manyyyy muslim friends that as well don't dover their heads and wear tons of make up, but they admit they just don't follow islam at all. I know the groom says that everybody interprets islam different but ISLAM is ISLAM. It was a Muslim wedding, even if the practise maybe was not, there were elements of culture involved in it, yes, but overall it wsa a Muslim wedding as therew as a Nikkah and a Maulana. Please advice if you wish, for Allah tells us to correct the mistakes of our fellow Muslims, but stay friendly.
