From what I've read, Huey Lewis was present during the recording of Black Rose, but I don't know if he was there for both the Paris and London sessions. I love this track, it's romantic and wistful. Whenever I'm reminiscent, I put this beauty on. God I love this pic! Where did you get it? Black Rose era epicness! Is there any concert footage from this tour? They were such sexy bitches! Up the Fanatical Fascists!
@DirkjeA This One Brings a Lump In my Troat now when the legend Gary Is dead And I have even shooked his hand back when he played a Tribute with THin Lizzy in my home town in sweden sanviken 2004/04/27 at my lokal store outside it they played even got photos to be honest Im still sad Gary Is dead and It will never leave me He was sutch an amoperic guy never to be again I cried When he past away 7 february I cloudnt leave bed for 2 weeks
@Grumberf I saw Gary doing a life performance in The Hague in Holland. A large park, sunny Sunday, lots of friends, beer, fun and great music. This was long ago, but stil one of the greatest concerts I have been.
I too was sad and shocked when I heard he had passed away. Yes, the world gets a little colder when great musicians die..
Weird to see Gary with a reverse Firebird! This version, even in rough draft form, was more "atmospheric" than the one Gary did on "Back on the Streets." Was that Huey Lewis on the harp, by any chance?
