PS If you get this dvd also get Exodus Gary Holt's A Lesson in Guitar Violence. The two go together. I came up with a monster solo by combining the two. I'm not even close to playing like these guys, but I'm getting better with these dvds. Gary Holt also shows his rig here. It's a lot simpler than I thought it would be - very cool.

I own this dvd and it's a kick axe of a lesson. It's not played here, but the unison bends on the solo intro really captures the Slayer vibe right from the start. Andy James breaks down each part slowly. I didn't find the fingerings and remembering the notes of the solo too difficult, but playing up to Andy Jame's speed is not easy for me. Some parts I could play from the start. Other parts are going to take much practice. All in all this is a super cool dvd for creating your own lead solos.

You people who say Kerry can't solo using scales etc don't know what you're talking about! On divine intervention, Kerry shreds the harmonic minor scale, war ensemble uses both harmonic minor and pentatonic licks, spirit in lavies harmonization of the double harmonic scale etc. I could go on. He was really only wild and chaotic on the first four records- though it started improving on south of heaven
