  • THAT WAS TOTALLY AMAZING! Love this song, but never have heard this demo version before. What a talent, what a voice. Thanks so much for sharing---a new favorite!

  • i don't like to make negative comments but...

in the opening title you spelt believe wrong, you spelt it 'belive'...

Other than that thi si an awesome demo thank you very much for posting...

  • of course its stevie hahaha

  • sounds like Stevie to me...

  • this isn't her singing at all, this is someone else.

  • i always manage to relate to her lyrics...especially right now....i love how music transgresses time ^_^

  • I Agree Stevie always speaks what alot of us are feeling.

  • Does it really matter if "it is slowed down" the song like so many previous others have said in their comments , It is still a FAVORITE!!!! It still a great song!

  • Correction: Did Stevie write this song??? I know she wrote it FOR someone else but later took it for herself... Anyway, so true, this demo is tender and sweet whereas the 1998 version is more of an angry song in a way, like Silver Springs...LOVE LOVE LOVE IT THOUGH!!!! Stevie could sing the phone book and I would sit still and listen bewitched*!!! :) LOVE U GUYS!!! :)

  • This has been slowed down, a LOT.

  • for some reason i find this version way more moving than the official duet version. there is just something about the way she sings it that makes it so amazing.

i think it's really difficult to sing an honest love song without sounding kitsch. the singer, not the song. or the singer AND the song.

  • Some cool pics on here I havent seen before!

The audio sounds a bit slowed-down. Like, it drags a bit. Sounds a littl ebit more draggy than that one I got Ah well

This is definitely one of Stevies BEST compositions!

  • yea but Stevie wrote this song actually... anyway, this is my favorite Stevie demo possibly :) where is our new Stevie album guys??? :) peace and love :)

  • it's beautiful it is very raw. And i love the fact that she sounds so raw.

  • Carol King's daughter, Louise Goffin was the first singer to release this song. It was on her self titled 1981 lp on Asylum Records. Cataolgue number 6e-333

  • Where did you get the demo from?

  • Love the band picture in this video! Great song!

  • I love her voice on this one -it sounds really old almost sounds like she is singing this for the first time, love it!!!

  • Love this tune!! They used this on the Practical Magic soundtrack :) (with Sheryl Crow)

  • This is incredible!! Thanks for uploading, Emily!
