An elderly street person collecting returnables in his cart is assaulted by a hooligan in a Canucks jersey. Three more guys in Canucks jerseys take him down and chase him away. Then they make sure the old guy is alright, set his cart back up and refill it for him.
The people drunk enough and stupid enough to take part in this mob mentality are a tiny minority. Those malevolent enough to have gone downtown equipped and determined to start a riot are rarer yet.
The real criminals are the rink crew at Rogers. That puck bounced more than a tennis ball. Don't want a mess? Freeze your ice! But yeah, takes a real idiot to steal and smash stuff on live TV, then whooo for the camera. Think you may get caught, somehow?
This isn't fandom. When people look at this, they won't say "wow they really care about their team." they'll say "wow..those people are out of their mind stupid".
