  • Thanks so much for your effort of uploading this vid! excellent.

  • As exhilerating as it may be, if you were the enemy it would be the worse to see and hear.

  • Funny, it may just seem that way because they are so small, but I'd almost swear that those Hawks are going faster through there than the big boys are! Must be fun to fly a plane like that, even more fun than flying something big like a F-15 or Tornado. And I'd never realized what a distinctive sound the Typhoon makes...reminds me a little of a J79 howling when it's approaching.

  • These Hawk guys are crazy... that's why there are the best !

  • 3:06 to 3:13 is the best, fantastic :-)

  • what are they doing anyway?

  • @13lackLight Training at low level, apparently! =) If you're asking how fast they are going, I'd guess between 300-500kts, maybe? Depending on the plane. Obviously not the C-130!

  • 1:28 that is the biggest lens I have ever seen being used.

  • @Voodoomancer Mines bigger.

  • Video would be much better with Russian jets.

  • How do you get to the vantage point from the valley bottom?

    So want to go there.

  • Is that the Air Field that is by Shell Island and Barmouth? I remember being with my cousin there and walking over the Sandunes and seeing the runway for the first time. Very exciting when we were young :)

  • Wow i must get there this year how awesome!

  • tyhoon at 3.44 looks imressively low

  • The Screamin' Eagle indeed! ooooohhhh yeeeaaaahhhh

  • 3:05

    Then comes grandad

  • nice.. but the argies do it better..

  • 4:00 Habba Habba :D

  • Amazing video. Took awhile to find approximate location on Google Earth but this appears to be where this was shot: 52° 42' 32.84N 3° 50' 49.78"W elev 1343ft. The eye alt at 1560ft. Incredibly beautiful scenery from location

  • on the way to the twin tower's

  • Really wicked video used to live in North Wales when I was a kid never knew about this place

  • Want to live there and looks like the f-15 pilots were a bit more catious campared to the RAF

  • 3:00 its like the Hawk pilot knew you lot were there and he had a bit of showboating lol!

  • any one know if they are still using the loop as I seen two F15 yesterday 13 th dec 2011 coming from the west possible back to Lakenheath over Telford and today the 14th dec 2011 I seen four F15,s flying from the east back over Telford toward,s wales.

  • 3:04 - 3:19 - awesome!

  • I went on an expedition up mount snowdon in 2009, and on the last day as we were heading down the mountain there were low jets passing through the valleys!! it was amazing!

  • 03:10, God damn it's low!

  • I enjoyed this thanks

Shame we will not see any more Harriers thanks to the blinkered government

  • @mondeo2500 It sure is a shame, because Harriers were always the lowest flying through that valley.

  • @Wonkabar007 Interesting. I'd have thought it'd be the jaguars.

  • @mondeo2500

agreed, massive mistake on their part as they are such a flexible tool

  • That terrain looks phenomenal to fly over.

  • Great vid dude. Especially liked that Herc and Hawk. I had once a opportunity to be the backseater in T.51 while live AG firing and I wish you could have opportunity as well.

  • You guys need to put up a super duper huge sign that says : do something cool!

  • Love those harrier jump jets

  • do they tip there wings because they are acknowleging you are there on that mach loop ?

  • Friend, very cool video...

Tell me, what´s the story behind the "Mach Loop" - such a great spot - cool!!

  • Sure hope they don't cut any ski-lift cables!

  • Brilliant, Low flying warplanes I love em!!!!!!!!!!!

  • ̲̅♥̲̲̅̅N̲̲̅̅i̲̲̅̅c̲̲̅̅e̲̲̅̅ ̲̲̅̅c̲̲̅̅l̲̲̅̅i̲̲̅̅p̲̲̅̅♥̲̅]

  • 3:10...............wow!

  • GREAT BALLLLS OF FIRE!!!!! :D

  • quality vid.I was driving in the welsh mountains not knowing that they still do low flying coz they seem to have stopped on the south coast where i live, when one passed below me ,and i practicly soiled myself ,i thought my van had hit a land mine ,the following 2 jets looked so cool .

  • cood someone give me directions from england, the midlands, i gotta take my son there!

  • That was impressive. My laptop was vibrating from the sound. Very cool.

  • Dude if one of them did a breaking the Soundbarrier in that everyone gonna be tipping over,Freaked out,Or go deaf for a couple of minutes or so.

And the people watching this would ears would be blown out then.

    That be funny.

  • AWESOME! hopefully i'll be flying through there one day :')

  • ok thanks for the reply back i subscribed and i added you

  • is that U.S aircraft?

  • @aiviationboy Yes the Eagles are from a base in the UK called Lakenheath, aviation fans in the UK are very happy to have the USAF in England.

  • do they always fly there or do they fly on specific dates

  • Why is it call the "Mach Loop" when their not doing any Mach numbers

  • @martkt10 It gets the name from a nearby village called Machylleth.

  • @martkt10 Hahaha, did u there smart-arse.

  • @martkt10 They call it the "Mach Loop" because the area is a series of valleys the go in a circle starting and ending at the town of Machynlleth in Wales

  • awesome video!! i NEED to go here! where abouts do you park and how long does it take to climb that mountain?

  • are they RAF C-130's?

  • Omg that is so cool

  • wat kinda speed they travel through the countryside at ?

  • Hello wonka! Please send me the address where is this site!!! On my mail multiweb@alice.it thank you

  • that is amazing

  • At any time, are they close to breaking the sound barrier?

  • @muddhole777 No, but I wish they would, the big problem would be the shock wave knocking over the photographers LOL.

  • typical America. The f-15 is the biggest fighter of them all! haha

  • They seem to be going quite slow lol

  • Great post, love it. Thanks.

  • this video is amazing.. i was driving down them valleys last week seen a couple low down..then seen a couple messing around!!

  • great video! thats why youtube was inventer :)

  • 04:10 awesome !!

  • Someone called in harriers.....

  • thats kool as fuck

  • Which aircraft passes after you wrote Cad west 16/09/09? I can't really recognize it..i though it was a Jaguar

  • @MASTERCARDUZ I think it is a hawk

  • Lol, I bet the jets pose.

  • And this is why I love living in Machynlleth!

  • Nice vid, excellent camera work. You have a good steady hand with a camera. cheers

  • Awesome vid, that sound............ Lovely...

  • the noise of the typhoon is just it at low speed and low revs on the engine, like the hunters used to make back in the day :) at airshows u pretty much hear them at full chat the whole time.

  • is that an F15 at 0:57??

  • Amazing video! As others have said thanks for no music, and also thanks for HD! Well worth the time and effort you put in!

  • RIP Harriers :(

  • flying is such an amazing thing.

  • Awesome video , thanks for sharing.

  • Amazing, no music, fantastic video, many thanks

  • 3:07 HOLY SHIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i'm currently working on the road parapet here and see these most days ! eurofighter is the fucking shit !!!!

  • I see off all these jets, my job is amazing!!

  • Have the pilots ever admitted that they can actually see the photographers on their passes at this point?

  • @MovieMad007 Sure, sometimes they wave.

  • @Wonkabar007 looking at the small hawk at 3.08 even seems to play with you guys by passing overhead and pulling up

  • @Wonkabar007 Or if your lucky they even salute !

  • @MovieMad007 as Wonkabar said, they wave sometimes, but there is also a photo from a magazine, maybe Nuts, a few months back where the navigator was holding a little cardboard sign saying "I'm with stupid" and pointing at the pilot just as they went past this photograph point.

Also, when there's a dozen photographers in blue, red or yellow coats, they contrast with the green of the mountainside so are clearly visible.

  • @MovieMad007 search for RAF crewman holds up 'I'm with stupid' sign they know people are taking there picture

  • @c0wsg0m00 Haha! Thats brilliant! :)

  • @MovieMad007 Imagine flying one of those and passing your fans with cameras !

  • 3:05 :O

  • Thanks for sharing this awsome video, nice to view one that hasn't got stupid music added to it,love to hear the sound of those jet engines, will try and get up there some time this year !

  • @marvinmartiancbx Same Here, ima head up there when i get a new Camera - That C-130 Pilot got some Balls!

  • #OMG 4:08 if you want an eargasm !

  • this is freaking SICK. i wish there was a place like this in the USA

  • @TheGreatCarlintini well on my holiday to California my friend - about 9 or 10 yrs back my Dad drove my family and I all the way from San Francisco to Death Valley monument - at the very entry to DV Monument there is a valley not more than oohh i'd say less than quarter of a mile wide at its widest maybe not even as far as taht - a bunch of tourists jumped out of their skins when a fighter came out of nowhere at 90 degrees down this valley - it would not have been able to fly horizontal down it

  • the eurofighter almost sounds like a starwars tie fighter on approach

  • @DarryllK Sure is a cool sound, ive not heard it make that noise at airshows, maybe its the sound bouncing off the mountains.

  • @Wonkabar007 yeah + i think its the air itself to..as i noticed that our F-16s sounds alot different on traininggmissions in norway than back home!

  • @Wonkabar007 its actually intake resonance howl

  • @DarryllK

they should have called it Banshee not Typhoon :PPP

  • @DarryllK The C130 sounds like Sebulba’s Pod Racer

  • Holy Moly!!!

  • fake.

  • @aussersein noob

  • @ShuddupChip it's fake you filthy orphan.

  • @aussersein you fail at trolling lol. nice channel comments. GTFO

  • @ShuddupChip will you be my boyfriend?

  • @aussersein u are that!! why would u type that??

    what is wrong with you?

  • @TheMrMadchester I want to smell it.

  • HI MATE DO THEY FLY ON CERTAIN DAYS OR ALL THE TIME ,THINKING OF GOING CAMPING FURTHER DOWN THE VALLEY TOWARDS THE LAKE IN APRIL

  • @dazyamaha Its all down to luck if you see any, best to go up if the weather is good, some jets don't fly if the cloud is low.

  • @dazyamaha I don't know much about it and it may be an obvious comment but I reckon they only fly on weekdays too!

  • @dazyamaha not much noise protection in a tent! You sure your ears are up to it??? lol! Better not be holding onto that flask of soup........be the top gun buzzing the tower scene for real ....... :)

  • wow are American F-15E was there to awesome.

  • This looks ace is it north wales

  • @MrDazp1 Yes near the Cader Idris mountain.

  • Thanks to the camera man/woman for the footage and special thanks to the pilots at 2:06 & 4:23 :-0)

  • why do they all tilt towards you as they come closer?

  • @klum03 Its a narrow mountain pass, so its tilt or risk hitting the rock face with the wing tip.

  • @Wonkabar007 there is no danger of hitting the rocks with wingtips, the valley isnt straight,so they bank as they enter, fast planes dont turn so good at speed.

  • @Wonkabar007 i think they know your there and just saying hi! =]

  • @klum03 Are you really that stupid that you have to ask this question?

  • @staffsmole are you really that much of an asshole you have to say something like that? the mountains are wide enough apart to prob fit 8-10 planes flying horizontally next to each other so explain why its a stupid question?

  • @dojOdRiFTeR why would he be shitting himself? Granted the US has the most planes but I think he was refering to the quality of the pilots not quantity of planes? Lets not forget that the US hasnt faced a developed nation in combat since WW2 all they have done is fought monkeys and either lost (vietnam) or in the case of iraq etc killed as many of their own as the other side. Technology is great but if you have retards using it.... I base the retards comment on a nation that RE-elected bush jnr.

  • @owsythe1st Don't forget the Serbian air defence units, they put on a good show against NATO air power.

  • @owsythe1st Are you kidding we have killed far more insurgents then Americans.

  • Never get tired of watching this

  • Wants one!

  • ...and WITHOUT fucking music! thank you...nice video

  • @GSCDanger Yeah I agree, I like to hear the engine sounds.

  • @Wonkabar007 good stuff wonkabar, seems better than a lot of lake district sites. already dusting off the hiking boots and digging out the o.s. map. where exactly are you standing for this?

  • wow i wasnt expectin that hurk

  • Harrier for the win

  • Fantastic video work.

May I ask, what camera were you using ??

Very skilful work by you !

  • @Jez2008UK Sony HDR SR10e, a great little HD Handycam.

  • and now i have highway to the danger zone stuck in my head...

  • class video how long does it take to walk up that montain from the road ?

  • @mrollielarkin 30 mins, the last 100m is very steep a few rest moments are needed here.

  • @Wonkabar007 thanks for the info cant help taken a look at ur vid every day so addictive will defo take at trip across in the new year thanks again

  • @mrollielarkin Just remember that my video was filmed on a lucky day with lots of aircraft about, some days it is very quiet its all down to luck on the day, best to go up when the weather is good.

  • i swear i been there i went on a trip at aberdovey and we was going for camping and i saw a aircraft at same place i swear that was sik i am never going to forget those moments

  • they all do the same thing

  • what are they doing just running the mountains haveing fun or are they coming off a runway somewhere close ?

  • @cofdmw91 Low level flying training area.

  • Fantastic Vid!!!

  • what a sick vid , id love to go there one day !!!! brilliant

  • i have flown down there a few time,s in the back seat of a tornado

  • Great video. I was fishing at Fontburn Reservoir in Northumberland today. Didn't catch a sausage but had a great time watching the kids duck when the Tornados kept appearing out of nowhere over a hill and buzzing the reservoir (accompanied by the sound of live heavy artillery firing at Otterburn Range - like fishing in a war zone).

  • @iwtfpduta Sounds like a fun location, do you get jets flying over Fontburn Reservoir often ?

  • @Wonkabar007 Usually they seem to fly either side of the reservoir but yesterday they were going right over the top of us. I don't know where the best place in Northumberland is to watch them, they seem to be everywhere whether we're in the country at Hexham, Otterburn or on the beach at Alnmouth. When a big exercise is going on it's tremendous being in that area. Don't think the fish liked it though.

  • A free air show!! what more could one ask for!!

  • No way out man Asian women #lushfmlk.info#

  • 1:55 OMG ITS AN AC-130 (cargo)
