  • This is SO smart... just when I was about to return my elf brush to target, you saved me a trip and the hassle! thank you so much!

  • i was just lamenting the loss of a few of my less expensive wooden brushes. perfect timing and much obliged. <3

  • thanks for this, my foundation brush broke today and i jus remembered about this video!! xxx

  • I believe it won't last long this way. expecially if the glue has dried out and is years old. The best thing is to remove the old glue and reapply it with a glue gun. there are small inexpensive ones that just will do the trick.

  • @manuki16 I've used it on a brush I've had for about 5 years, it's been sturdy! I agree that if it doesn't work then try new glue! :)

  • my broken brush has plastic handle. is that means that I wont be able to fix it with your method?I tried superglue on the other brush but it was too much glue and some glue came out of metal part and the brush doesnt look nice now :(

  • @almantaite if it is plastic then this will not work.

  • thanks ofr this video, one of my brushes broke a few days ago now i can fit it !

  • Fabulous tip, thanks !! I have a sigma blush brush that I just now repaired using your blow dryer method....worked like a charm. No more clicking noises from the loose ferrule while applying my blush !!

  • This is great..tks for tips <3

  • Great Look!

  • If the actual brush fibres are plastic would they melt?

  • @DontBeSadBeRadd if the handle, brush head and fibres are plastic they will melt (taklon/synthetic brushes are fine just keep the heat from the brush head)

  • @oxfordjasmine Thankyou!

  • Thanks, I would have masking taped it with rotten results!

  • Ive been thinking about repairing one of my brushes, thought Id just use superglue. Didnt think of this way. I realise this means you dont have to go out and buy anything, superglue, elmers or anything so it is a good idea. Im just a bit worried Id burn the paint as you warned against. Before I decide which way to try I wanted to know if there was any problem with the superglue way? I think that you used the hair dryer for less than a minute? Just checking in case I decide to go that way.

  • @girlintrouble2 I never use superglue as I can never get the old glue off or our of the ferrule so it doesn't ever seem to fit properly with more glue. If the hair dryer way fails then superglue is the next thing I would consider.

  • very good tip. thank you for sharing. this happened to my E.L.F. face brush and now I can fix it ;-)

  • i always put them back together with super glue. i will have to try this method out. thanks or the tip!!

  • Great tip!

  • Wow... this is like one of those 'DUH!' moments. Totally makes sense! Thanks Jasmine!

  • If that yellow brush is from EcoTools then the exact same thing happened to mine!

  • @EllaFlint this is a Max Factor brush, and a present from a dear friend who obviously saw what I didn't and bought be a set of good brushes! I was loathe to let it go which is what prompted this idea!

  • just in time...one of my favorite brushes is loose.

Thanks so much Jasmine, I've picked up so many tips from you over the last 2 years! Pls keep them coming :-)

  • Good video.

  • Thank you! That's really helpful actually!

  • you can also use elmer's wood glue, works wonders
