  • Well done! Nice sound! God bless all of you!

  • cute guy in the metro sweater 1:43 "Look at the trees and mountains" ( then looking at his neighbour) 'wow did you hear me sing in that loud deep voice?:)'

  • we're doing this song in choir and performing it in orlando in a few weeks=P

  • Oh wow... so beautiful! Makes me want to move to Edinburgh! I'd even start celebrating Jesus again just so that I could come listen to you! Even better yet... to sing with you! It's been a treat listening to you at any rate... I'm sharing you with my facebook buddies. Maybe there will be an influx of visitors from Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA?

  • I really like this song. That's excellent for just rehearsing on Sunday morning before service!

  • Thanks for sharing this with us,it was really beautiful, you're a very talented group!

    Henk Vos

  • oh, we did this song too

  • THis is amazing

  • J'adore cette vidéo! On la fait aussi avec notre chorale, je dois juste dire que l'on prend plaisir à chanter cette chanson magnifique. Et cette vidéo est juste génial, superbe chorale.

I Like this video! We also practice this song with our choir. I just wanna say that with take pleasure when we sing this wonderful song. This video is just awesome. Very great choir by the way.

  • Great Choir!

  • this is the best 'not professional' recording of al the 'look at the worlds' on You tube..

    BRAVO !!!

  • Love this song whether is performed my an choir of 100 or of 10. Excellent rendition!

  • What a wonderful job! This music is fantastic! We are singing it here, in Brazil!

  • i have picked this anthem from my churches harvest services this year, and i think the piano part which i am playing is hard, but te piano player here played it at a good tempo and volume, so it helps me, thank you for the post.

  • Nice!

  • How many members does your choir has? For a rather small group, you did quite a great job, and I can clearly hear the balance between SATB. Our choir is also practising this. It's always great to know that the same song (and arrangement) is performed all over the world. One of the proofs that our God is great.

    groet Henk (Sassenheim )

  • Very nice. Especially since you guys don't rehearse that often. The guys are amazing. The one thing I wish is that you guys paid attention to the dynamics (the 3rd chorus is supposed to be piano).

  • I love this song so much. xx

  • Who is this man with the red pullover?...;)

    nice song I love it...^^

  • It really IS an inspiring rendition and it is unusual to hear guys sing with such power on this. I play this piece on the piano, and it is no small task. My hat's off to the accompanist! Great job!

  • absolutely fantastic - bravo

  • Bravo! ︿︿

  • Absolutely stunning

  • *clap clap clap

  • quite beautyful

  • Wow guys that was really nice. The men really do stand out!

  • Merci :) Vous etes tres gentil!

  • @davidvivanco Heel mooi! Earlier tonight, our choir in Amsterdam started on this piece, our second Rutter song after "All Things Bright And Beautiful." Director just sent us the link to you. I find it extremely inspiring to see you at rehearsal and recognize a lot. Our choir is about the same size yours is, a bit older, but with similar voices and attitudes (vid.infra :-))

I'll be back to hear you many times, your version will be an important study guide.

Many thanks from a happy bass singer!

  • I like this hymn. In fact I love all John Rutter's hymns.

  • I enjoy seeing a group of people of various ages. I have been in different groups, and the mixed age groups are the ones I find the most fulfilling.

  • No need to apologize vivanco, this was beautiful and the sound brought warmth and perpetuated sweet tune and melody in my ear. Bravo!

  • this song is hilarious! i'm sorry but i had 2 sing it @ scool in choir and we're used 2 singing victoria's ave maria and palestrina's sicut cervus! kiss the leper clean! u guys r really good though!

  • Yes well, there are different styles of choral music which cater for a variety of tastes :) Not everyone loved this piece of music, as you can witness by our 'pin-up' tenor's hands-in-pockets attitude and smirks at the other tenor from time to time - that said....if you just take it in the spirit meant, I think you can still enjoy it :)

  • @davidvivanco hahah we actually liked it after a while so it was all good. hahaah yeah there were a few guys like that one tenor, but i find, as most women do, that guys who sing are the BEST!

  • That's so great!

I'm so happy to share this beautiful music.

  • Very nice :)

  • Sounds good! Good balance between the tenors, baritones and bass voices. I am sure the church interior has good acoustics as well! That looks like a pipe organ in the background.

  • Hi there,

I can't do that - but it's not difficult to find this music to buy online if you have a look on the internet! - Happy singing!

  • oh its ok i already ask our conductor about it. thanks for the info. =)

  • can you send a copy of this song (with parts) so that we can sing it in our church here in Phil.?

  • Yes, really nice, I must say the basses and tenors sound very good!

  • clap clap clap! Bravo! I love it! You all should be on tour! Or are you? :) I wish I could be a part of such a choir, but small town America makes it a little tough. One fellow tried to get one together...it wasn't exactly like this despite his haaard work :P

  • Hi there, Thanks for that. We're not on tour, no :) We just get together on Sunday mornings, quickly rehearse the hymns for that day, the anthem, introit for that morning...and then if we have time, have a look at the one for the week after! Often we are quite under rehearsed....but we have a reasonable number of people with quite alot of choral singing experience and so we can get things together quite fast, even if the end result isn't quite as 'secure' or crafted as I might like sometimes!

  • Most definately! :D

  • This is great! You're really good and I love the song - I'm doing it at the moment in my school choir for Commemoration Day.

  • Thank you. Choirs are something special to be a part of, aren't they?! :)

  • that is excellent! i luv that song

  • I hear a very nice baritone/bass voice somewhere in the choir...

  • wow - fast version :D

  • Glad you liked it :) - you know, I think we're going to have to start selling pin-up posters of the world's favourite Edinburgh tenor chorister! :D

  • omg this is so nice!

  • 3rd grade choir learned this. Heard is last Sunday, almost brought a tear to my eye. Such an absolutely beautiful song. By far my favorite choral number. Very well done.

  • Aw, we sang this when I was in tenth grade (eh, 3 or so years ago)

We had elementary school kids sings sing the verses and the High Schoolers sing the Chorus.

    It was very beautiful.

    This is amazing.

  • It's a very poignant piece - just a bit of constructive criticism for the choir director - nice vocal blend, but I think they could use more dynamic contrasts and tapering at the ends of words, i.e., "blessing", "mountains", etc., not punching the second syllables so much. I also think the tempo was a tad fast. But great job!

  • i love this song we sing it at school

  • Fab! I loved it.

  • i really love this song!!! i also sing it at school with my friends

  • Very nice. It's a lovely song that doesn't seem to be well know over here. At least I've very seldom heard it. Thanks for posting it.

  • We are going to sing this song at our graduation day in a church

  • great! go on!

  • well done i also sing this at school
