I don't think polygamy in and of itself is necessarily something to be frowned upon or considered bad. However, the abusing, brainwashing and lack of freedom forced upon children born into certain radical cults and religions is well known.

Statutory rape of this sort (I don't care what a 16 year old and an 18 year old do in their Volvo) is not funny, or just another form of relationship. Almost always it is the result of grooming, sometime lifelong brainwashing.

Have the state pass a law raising the age of consent to 18. I would be OK with that. It's long overdue.

Heck they all knew who their fathers were too, and he was very much part of their lives. I would say they are far better off than the average inner city child. I don't particularly care about polygamy, either. But this case is not about polygamy. Nor is it about religion or religious freedom. It is about abuse, incest, and fraud. People who have followed this sect for years know this. The state did have a reasonable suspicion of abuse, which is all they need to remove the children. Why were the sect members not honest with CPS about which parents the children belonged to? Is lying part of their religion, along with abuse, incest, and fraud?

However look at the high risk they place chilren into with state foster care 1 of 3 are sexually molested physicaly abused and protected to death, the rate of deaths per child in care is horrendous . So you as society must question is foster care the answer ???

It is hoped the children will be adopted into families who understand the background they have come from. Foster care is intended to be temporary. Foster care is not perfect. But sending the children back to abuse and brainwashing is not the answer.

I have indicated that many studies have been done of children in foster care in the state of Texas, And had impliedits mst likely many test were done on those children to validate their suspicions of abuse and its obvious there were none, Or do you think they wouldnt have pulled up the results to vlidate their insane reasoning as to why they removed the children.

Can't say that for a large percentage of Houston families. So why don't we put all those dope ridden fatherless kids in foster care due to the massive abuse in that community?
