i need advice on dc motors, by pluging the motor to a charge controller does it provent the power from the battery to load the motor.??? i pluged my motor directly to the battery thinking it would charge it but it started the motor instead....is that normal..? charge controller = current goes only one way...? please help me `:)
I liked the video. Check out my videos and channel if you like WIND/SOLAR. I won a Green Design Award on Earthday 2010 with my home energy invention. Peace.
Hey man hope you dont mind i stole your chair mount swivol idea it works so great wish i had kept all i have discarded in the past. By the way i love your set up and i hate the negative comments you get dont sweat it though....... Hey if you need to chill check out my (wind turbine jam) video i think you will like it.......... later from the west coast
Very my friend!!! I love the new design layout. It looks great. I would be happy to have that design in my yard. You are more then welcome to post your videos and comments to my blog. The url to my blog is the user name. add dot com to the end of it. Anyway, I love it and keep up the good work! I look forward to seeing more videos from you and your projects.
the children never ever go in my shed, has its locked all the time, i admit that I need to make things a bit safer, will do so very soon, cheers for your comments.
Cool, I have some Solar Panels and I bought a 400watt Air-X 24v wind generator, and a 29 ft tower. I haven't set up the tower because it's not permitted by my landlord, but solar panels, I have 2x 45 watt, they crank out between 9 and18 volts. I have a Junta volt regulator too, 30am 600watt 12/24v. My batt for AirX is 2x 12volt 35AH, solar a 12v 20AH & 2x 12v 8AH.
can't you about power your whole house with just basic essentials with what you have so far? you got a ton of those huge batteries and a way to recharge them.
how much voltage reduction to get for such a long wire run from the house to the shed.
Can you hear it?

How would tidying up change that? Sparks could set most any shed on fire anytime, tidy or untidy.
The sparks aren't going to say "OH, NO, this is a tidy shed, we can't do any damage here".

Nice one, but like said earlier, tidy it up man! One spark with those battery contacts can set your shed on fire..

wow how much voltage does the wind turbine produce roughly cos mine only does 12v as it is on the basis of a sturmey archer dynamo hub

How much is the total cost of everything? My monthly electricity bill is about $200-$300, so if it cost less than $2K I may consider.

good work, but please try and keep the small child away from the high volt inverter and bats.
