Sir,are you improving or correcting the sound?I can't find the great EGR voice like yours in M50.Could you tell me how did your do that. thx (I'm the beginner to use this keyboard. And also it's my first keyboard.)
@12jpa Depends on which genre of music you want to play. I play a mixture of prog rock, new age and pop and find the M50 much better for the latter 2 (great pads, leads and combis) and the MO6 better for the first, mostly because the piano and organ sounds are slightly better. I own both, they're both good, but I personally prefer the M50 more. Just depends on what you're playing and what kind of sound you want.
which of these keyboards has the worst pre loaded piano sounds? korg triton classic, korg triton LE, korg triton extreme, korg TR, korg karma, or the korg m50?
Great demo. The M50 is kinda more affordable version of M3 and some people are comparing those 2... well anyway presets don't tell a synths true Power. And the M50 has a lot of Power.
how is korg m50 compare to the red korg karma?? in use and sound quality??
and in software use of karma? the guitar sound seems to be very good. ok thanks for a answer. from ballademaker Norway love my korg karma its grooving.
I played them both and i have to say, that the red karma is much better. It has the quality. I don't want to say that M50 is bad, but it surely isn't that strong keyboard like red Karma. Korg M3 is much better than M50 and it is stronger than red Karma. Many new function and so many good sounds... It's worth buying! Also, Yamaha motif ES is a good keyboard for it's price.
Been weighing up a 2nd hand karma against a new korg m50. Mainly looking for good hammonds, pianos, rhodes, mellotrons, strings plus non-cheesey spacey sounds. How does the karma weigh up on those? Do you need to get expansion boards? I can't make up my mind between these two. Help
Dude, i really doesn't pay attention to hammons, and rhodes, because i don't like to play them. Well hammonds at least. But as much i remember other sound, the pianos aren't good on both, so they are even for me, rhodes are better on M50, i don't know what mellotron is, string are great on karma, for m50 i don't think it has so good strings, and also your non-cheesy spacey sounds are great on both.
If you wan't to have good pianos and rhodes, also the strings, you should check out Yamaha motif or yamaha MO in this price range. They are really awesome for that sounds and other acoustic.
I played lots of korgs and i have to say that this new korg series (M3,M50) and also red karma isn't that good for pianos. Korg triton pianos were better for me if i compare them to new korgs. But korgs was always great for bass, synth, strings and pad sonds. This is all i can say. Check vids on the net!
Well, you're right. I played many keyboard, and every each of them had something i didn't like. Some lacked of good pianos, some didn't have good strings, but Korg M50 doesn't have so many stuff i would like to have, that i would rather buy Korg Triton Extreme or maybe TR. They are better keyboard in my opinion, for that price at least ( not new Extreme ).
Well dude, i don't agree, that M50 has better pianos then Triton series or Yamaha But i agree that M3 has commonly good pianos than Triton's.
Also the electric guitar sounds in M50 and M3 aren't that good like some amazing guitar sounds in Triton Extreme or Yamaha Motif ( ES, XS ) . You cannot judge which strings are better, because everyone has different taste so this is only matter of someone's opinion and it's not fact. The fact is, that Korg have amazing synth and pad sounds.
M50 has THE SAME piano samples that M3 has. And if you don't like them, you can still edit them!
Electric guitar sounds are excellent and VERY playable on M50/M3, at least I like them, it's subjective. It's true that Motifs have better acoustic guitars, but I don't care since I can play it myself.
Well dude, we seems to agree in some terms like synth sounds. But it's not true, that M3 and M50 has the same piano samples! I play them both and i can say that pianos in M3 are better that in M50. Yes, they have same Karma technology, but M50 lacks of lots of power, than M3 has. But if you compare M50 and upgraded M3 pianos ( which are really from Oasys ) the difference is so noticable, that everyone can hear it.
I don't say that M50 is bad keyboard, i just say that i lacks lots of power.
m50 is probably the most powerful and versatile keyboard you can get at that price. m3 Expanded pianos are just pure awesome after you edit them a bit, but you can get very good piano sounds out of m50 also by doing some editing. I own a Triton Le and I can say that even m50 pianos are about 100x more realistic. Triton Le pianos are probably the worst I have heard. They are way too bright!
True! LE pianos are not very good, i totally agree. But Triton TR 88 pianos sound wonderful and by my opinion better that normal pianos in M50. I don't know how expanded sounds, so i cannot judge. Well, overall M50 isn't bad synth, but at this price you can get Korg Karma or Korg Triton Extreme, which are better in my opinion. Well, even Yamaha Motif or Roland Fantom X are great keyboards in this price range ( not new of course :) ).
Thanks for the demos ... I consider them more valuable than the official demos ... yours show the real sonic power of the M50 and not some cheesy sequencer created song where you cannot hear the real instruments.
i wish i had the money for one
well i got fl lol

M50 and M3 have VASTLY improved pianos in regards to older Triton series, because piano sample is coming from OASYS.
M50 has very good pianos, great organs and nice rhodes, you should try it. Also, Korg is better in strings than Yamaha.
