Matsui is absolutely clutch. I was up in NYC back in 05 for a Yanks/Angels game, and Matsui gets the game winning RBI double in the bottom of the ninth off Rodriguez. Hell of a game. The yankees are really gonna miss him this year...

Excellent point. Hideki had some solid years as a Yankee and is definitely clutch. I do understand the problem with his knees but I certainly would have matched the Angels offer or given him a little more to keep his bat in the lineup. Signing Nick Johnson for a million less is just taking the cheap way out and his health is a question mark as well. I would have kept the World Series MVP.
