  • If she's anything like her extremist parochial husband, her kids have a strong chance of becoming atheists. I'm dead serious---it's a documented proven phenomenon that kids with religious zealots for parents rebel against them and become atheists.

  • @sweetsweatyfeet if that's the case, why not pray for this family. I'm sure you won't want any one to go to hell right? And thanks for point it out.

  • @jackcmsxjdz Sorry for not making myself more clear but... I am an atheist. His kids becoming atheists is the best thing that could ever happen to them. Unlike Washer I don't believe anyone (including PW) deserves to be tortured forever. Only the sickest, most fucked up psychopath could think that eternal, unimaginable, unbearable TORTURE is righteous and just

  • I find it a bit troubling that Paul Washer's wife was really a pagan for so long, and he didn't even know it. Is conversion, a work of god, really that subtle?

  • 21"Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles? Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!'

We are saved by grace not works. Paul Washer teaches work salvation instead of trusting in Jesus Christ alone. The Holy Spirit gets the glory in our change not ourselves! Eternal Security is in Jesus Christ not being sinless to keep us saved. This is false doctrine because our God is not getting the glory but us having to keep good works to keep saved!

  • Tell me what work Paul teaches or simply give me a message or quote from Paul that would substantiate your claim. If you cannot provide this, then you are merely spreading lies.

Proof you are wrong about Paul:

  • Paul absolutely believes that we are saved by trusting in Christ alone - he is not taking glory to any man or woman - actually it's not the Holy Spirit who gets the glory, for He gives the glory to Christ. God's grace never leaves a person the same - God is glorifed in transformed lives - INCREASINGLY transformed lives. He must increase, we must decrease. Sin MUST not have dominion over us.

  • "God's grace never leaves a person the same"

We are saved by faith in Jesus Christ alone. Salvation is not: stop sinning and by having faith in Jesus Christ. You are right that Sin Brings Death and Destruction and that is why we need to be on guard for it. My concern is that I do not want Christians to look at themselves to stop sinning instead of looking at Christ to change them. God will correct his children.

    God Bless,

  • This is a convenient and popular ideology, have your salvation and your fun too. You cannot attain salvation by your works, but your conduct cannot be parallel to that of the world and Jesus Christ, you worship one or the other. You conform to one or the other. He represents none of the things you've mentioned, the scariest thing you can do is forge your own salvation, yet so many self-professed Christians do just that. How easy is it for the devil with so many deceived lost souls?

  • mrjdoggy: "This is a convenient and popular ideology."

Only the Holy Spirit can change me on the inside. When I called on the Lord Jesus to come into my life - my heart changed. I wanted to live a Holy Life because of conviction of sin. The Holy Spirit changes us and not us trying to live Holy beforehand. That is where Lordship Salvation errors. Saving Faith = Works Salvation. Obedience does not equal true salvation. If so - than Catholics are saved. Only the blood of Jesus saves!

  • sorry this reply is 4 months after yours.

But I had to say something. I've listened to just about every Paul washer sermon and I don't think he's ever preached works salvation but to the contrary. He merely asks the christian to examines him/her self to see if they are really in the faith. Rather than holding onto a false hope, relying on a superstitious prayer, nothing more, nothing less.

  • Um... This is a fanastic testimony but I don't think the audio is Charo Washer (the wife or Paul Washer). She has an accent that is distinctly Latin. Great testimony but it's not her.

  • AMEN

  • God bless!

  • Yes, it needs to be shared everywhere so people can realize if they are in her old situation. And with her being the wife of such a devout pastor, it will ease the fear and worries of others in her position. They won't feel so alone. Maybe then, if more church members' eyes could be opened as her's have been, the awakening and revival could begin.

  • When Charo was talking about the struggling, I think I'm in the exact same position like she was in. Everyday I try to stop certain habits, try to do good, listen daily to sermons, but yet when I go into the daily world I don't sense any radical change like she experienced.

  • All you can do is call on Christ. He is the Architect of Salvation. In our natural self, before salvation, none of us are interested in the things of God. (I wasn't.) But when He makes His home in us, we have this longing hunger to know His Word, to chase the hem of His garment! Keep seeking - He says if we seek, we will find!

  • Charo's testimony, before she became a Christian, is the haunting truth behind many people who call themselves a Christian but really aren't. This video needs to be featured on YouTube.
