I fought that fire for 12 hours, from 7:00pm til 7:00am the next morning. The water bomber was pretty cool watch do it's job, but it was pretty useless, most of the water evaporated before it hit the fire.
To give you guys an example of how hot it was, you would need to cover your face if you were standing at say Giant Tiger and the fire was at CIBC.
Kodiak, you heard wrong. The fire started in the power plant's bark pile, crossed the ditch then into the chip pile/wood dundles.
