I love living in Copenhagen and the beauty about all these bike lanes... they work for skaters too... Copenhagen best bike and skater city in the world
Those couriers aren't allowed to ride faster than 30 km/h or they risk a speeding fine just like the kids who tune their mopeds (defined as a bicycle with a helping engine in Denmark).
I also live in denmark and i havent really liked going by car, i like to cycle, it makes you fresh, and sometimes i´ll take my skateboard and skate around, but not so often, its harder and slower but its a nice feeling. i live in a little town there is like 1/10th of copenhagen but there is just as many bikes.
yes, it is very nice, fun, and good for your health and the environment. if i was overthere i would ride my bike everywhere i go, however, i live in ft.lauderdale,fl and the weather is HORRIBLE and HUMID and the streets are not safe for cyclist. If I live in seattle or new york then it would be a different story.
Nice! I would like see even one tenth of Copenhagen bicycle infrastructure here in Moscow. I live in city that mostly hates bikes. Cars, big SUVs rule this place :(
No, their cameraman didn't shoot Copenhagen's fat cyclists. They exist, too. Also, he didn't show you that most Copenhageners use only rudimentary bike locks and many don't lock their bikes at all. I was told that thefts do occur but are not rampant. That's the best sign imaginable of a bike culture.
Well there isnt that many really fat cyclists, but thats probably because the chances of getting really fat if you ride your bike every day is pretty slim ;)
Well, in 10 months i lived in CPH, i got 7(!) bikes stolen from me. 4 of them were locked, and 3 were in undrivable condition (broken wheels, punctured tires etc.), so... you have to look out for your bike.
@zelands I ll second that. I have had the similar experiences. I have recently got my 7th bike and finally I dont feel like I am missing my third bike(which I believed to be the best bike ever to exist on our multiverse). Hope it will stay with me for a notable amount of time.
omg .. I live in Copenhagen, and didn't even notice this ... I mean, it was fun to see Denmark from a foreign perspective, but apart from that it was business as always.
I never thought about how few fat people there were in the video.
They are there, offcourse, you just don't see them much since they are sitting in the cars. *g*
I just watched the entire 5 part series. And I must say that I'm now seriously considering moving to Copenhagen. I think a culture that can thrive while moving people by bicycle is what the world needs. What an amazing documentary.
Makes me hate my city a little bit.

I love the hot blonde at the end, riding off into the sunset. She looks like the model, Caprice! Does anyone have her phone number?

In my city we have only ~200m of bicycle roads. May be just for fun. And cycling on own risk with cars, from summer to winter, from +40C to -35C.
For a day I usually see from 20 to 40 bicyclists. Funny? Sadly as a whole, but each time pleasantly in particular.
Your city and it's life style just a dream for me!)

Thank you for sharing these videos.
Could you put them all together into one video?
Videos can be longer than 6-7 minutes.

I think DSB should decrease the price for Bike tickets and clipkards for S trains.

@pobanmanu now you can take your bike free in trains and metro, but dogs still pay :)
