They re-did the opening credits for cast changes, but kept the long credits with the same music. The closing version of the theme is different (much faster), and I'm sure they used a couple of different arrangements in the opening. It's been a while. Sorry...
I always found the theme evocative too. Right up there with the theme for jPod, though that was Flutter by Bonobo.
As I'm in America could you tell me if they used long opening credits like this in every season of the show? When it airs in this country it's always cut from every season.
As a smooth-jazz radio DJ,I've been trying in vain for years now to find out the actual title of the theme of "DaVinci's Inquest" and who recorded it. I'd love to play the full-length version of that song on my radio show.
So... horse sex is related?
Oh YouTube, your related videos are funny :D

Is there a longer version of this theme -- at least three or four minutes? I'm a smooth-jazz radio DJ and I'd LOVE to play this on my show.

That *is* the theme, and it was written specifically for the show.
They used a couple of different arrangements over the years.

Nice theme song...they completely cut this out on the US syndicated reruns.

Do you know if they had a long theme like this in every season up in Canada?
SG1Mitchell 3 years ago
Not sure. I thought I read somewhere that the US intro was eventually used in later Canadian seasons.
