  • TDAs are just plain cool

  • nice, love the power call

  • i love how that red truck didnt yeild .....what a surprise

  • I"M SORRY BUT I don't like the sound of that siren. There's something wrong with it, and I don't like the sound of that truck's engine. It doesn't have the beefy power that I expect from such engines, but yes it looks nice.

  • Tics

  • Love the Roto Ray!

  • man I hate those powercalls... they sound so stupid... >=(

  • No its says truck 24 in red whit in blue which was truck 2-4 Eden before they became Manhiem township fire rescue and they are now station 204

  • Did the side of the truck say 343 tribute

  • @ISOClass1FD thx!!

  • Wow this is so kick ass!

  • LOL, the driver is a boss, just pulls right out in front of all the vehicles, because he knows he's going to win in an accident.

  • can any body tell me what kind of truck that is?! because i cant remember it to save my life!!

  • how come's the q dosen't sound as loud as most fire trucks?

  • @firetruck512 to me it doesn't sound like its reaching its peak like most do. might be a bad clutch.

  • Very Good Great That We Greetings From Chile Telescopic Truck Scale

  • Very Good Great That We Greetings From Chile Telescopic Truck Scale

  • sound like a car alarm xD but I like it!

  • that is easily the best looking truck ive ever seen in my entire life

  • @camhesse1

    Cause it's truck 24 responding.

  • is it possible to detach the front from the back like a trailer or are they not capable of doing that?

  • @bigBn20102010 I believe that's possible.

  • @bigBn20102010 Yes you can, it is built on a class 8 frame just like a tractor trailer, but with rear steering.

  • Beautiful ladder truck I wish we had this at are station

  • WHOA! That is a lot of lights!

  • Lol. Did anyone else notice that the video Is 24 Seconds long...

  • Call me old fashioned, but I like rotary beacon lights better!

    Great video!

  • Thats a nice looking tiller....

  • Like that spinning light on the front. Good job guys.

  • Im proud to have used that truck during my truck ops II class last summer, sweet rig. thanks Eden!

  • Man!!! That Tiller is hot

  • im moving to eden.

  • is it just me or does the little spinning thing in the front ruin it ?

  • @Antonioxx81 completely ruins it it would be a perfect truck with out the rotoray or whatever its called

  • @quadkid4 why do you people have a problem w/ roto-rays.... if it helps people see em, so much the better

  • That is a beast Tiller truck!!!

    Nice vid :)

  • @ryanlovestosnowboard im not that sure ill have to look again i get back to u

  • @ryanlovestosnowboard this is there primary unit it has truck compaine tools on one side and vr tools on the other the twp has just orderd a rescue to run with the truck due to it being over weight

  • Is this Lancaster Ny?

  • @CLCproductions31927 manhiem twp in lancaster county pa

  • next time just run that pick up truck off the road. operator needs to be more cautious. that beautiful rig would do no good sitting on the side of the road for a stupid accident pulling out of the fire house if it were a working job!

  • @grif471 The truck pulled over if you look after the firetruck passes you can see he was on the side of the road. I hear your point but just saying.

  • Lancaster County is the last county I'd expect to see something like this LOL

  • Probably cost a fortune..

  • Good video, with Q but I wanna know... why a tiller there?

A tiller is for dense urban areas where tight extreme tight turns are needed... could a quint or something not of been as effective?

  • what siren is that?

  • @mike92586 Federal Q and powercall

  • @mike92586 Powercall and a Q

  • @alovebaby41 Powercall is the most anoying sound. Yelp and a Q with twin grovers thrown in is a beautiful sound.

  • u should try to put the camara on the rear end of the tiller that would be a sick vid man

  • Dude... Voluteers get some SICK stuff

  • Its just an AMAZING truck

  • volunteer !!!!!!!

could any one tell me whether the fire station run by a volunteer or not ??

  • @khalid01234 this is a volunteer station in manheim twp they also have a live in program this tiller is also used as a rescue unit instead of having a regular ladder truck and a rescue u can put every tool need on this rescue tools on one side truck company tools on the other

  • That thing is a monster...way cool

  • That's a great shot of it maneuvering ....love it!

  • Eden has one of the best looking and thought-out tillers I have ever seen.

  • thats a bad ass truck

  • and I always thought my tiller in the FDNY ist that cool ! :-( yes it is but this truck is cool too. wow respect guys 4 your rig ! god save y on every run bors !

  • Nice tiller!

  • That tiller said volunteers??!! holy hell thats cool if thats VOL dept

  • i hate roto rays, looks like something a clown would wear as a hat

  • that is a super nice truck

  • We just got a tiller just like this one except ours has a pump and tandom drive axles and its red but this one is also very cool!

  • aaaa my hears!

  • lol firetruck cuttin another SUV off lmao

  • what the hell is that spinny thing on the front?

  • It is a Roto-Ray

  • @crump8668

    Yes It Is.

  • What a beauty

  • christmas tree on wheels lol

  • nice rig!!!!!

  • love the powercall

  • @theblackprep That powercall has got to be the most anoying sound in the fire service. give me a Q and a good set of Stuttertone air horns.

  • nice lights and i love the q

  • If you can't see that thing coming then you're legally blind.

  • I'll say this about you Yanks. You certainly know how to build a fire truck. Love 'em. All the best from the UK ;0)

  • @Spraycando haha very funny

  • @25Yankeesfan Sorry. Did you think I was being sarcastic? Hope not.

  • now thats a fire truck:)

  • wow gorgeous rig

  • oh man i just fell in love.

  • the best truck i ve ever seen!!!!!!!

  • AWESOME TRUCK

  • I've never seen a volunteer fire dept. with a tiller rig. Wow!

  • A voly dept with a tiller! Maybe we'll trade our Heavy Rescue for one!

  • nice for a volineer (wrong spelling)

  • 1st thing taught in the Fire Academy is that only real fire trucks are red. It's still a nice toy though.

  • It looks red at night, does that count?

  • DEF. A NICE RIG THERE ! !

  • is this one of those trucks that can steer the rear axle, so it can take tighter turns?

  • @pepene93 Yea its a tiller

  • Yes, it's called a tillered aerial in some places (Im sure other regions have different names for them)

  • that is a nice truck!!!!!!!!!! 5 stars!!! definitly one of my favorites!!!!!

  • real fire trucks are red.

  • nahhh lime yellow.... but just curious is there a real cop car or ambulance color?

  • @2279kelly black and white pd and white meatwagons :)

  • hahah well around my area there is red cop cars...lets just say they arent the guys you wanna deal with but in the end idc what color the truck is as long as its beautiful with a nice coat of wax on it

  • @2279kelly In my county fire trucks are the same color pd is the same color and ambulances are the same color. we are really stuck on tradition.

  • well im all for tradition but i like some differences, and also theres more fire depts in my county than the whole state of delaware so its hard for everyone to stay the same

  • I love the sweet siren and screamer

  • thats a sick tiller

  • i agree that is a beautiful truck

  • I like how the driver pulled out like he owned the road. Well he did in fact. The bigger you are the more authority you have on the road. Ha-ha!

Nice rig though. Stay safe out there. We still need you.

  • I am surprised those cars did not stop... thats how we get killed.

  • That's a BEAUTIFUL RIG!!!!!!!!!!

  • Gman027 it is a rescue and truck company combined on the one tiller the also do have an engine they got this i think it was in 06 in stead of replaceing there rescue and truck they got this instead and this is company is called eden in the boro of manhime pa has a live in program and is vol so yea runs more calls then lancaster city does

  • its actually manheim township

  • nice truck but the powercall...omg

  • wow thats beautiful

  • Dang that's a pretty newish rig, too, eh?

  • How does a volunteer company own something like this?

And do they really need it or does it act as an engine, rescue, and ladder?

  • beautiful rig

  • as a british i dont particully like American semis but i tell you what, you can can swap our fire trucks for youres because us fire trucks are sick

  • @heavyhaulage1 Americans and Canadians firefighters ride with style!!!!!

  • i love that color for a fire truck yellow

  • @schemer1991 Dallas used to have a few yellow ones but don't see any anymore.

  • There are only two words in the english language that can describe this fire truck that is bad and ass

  • beautiful truck

  • the rig holds seven. and yeah millersville is close enough to run there. they are an outstanding compnay and they no what they are doing. they are always out training and learning new ways to be better

  • this is the ultimate fire truck. it has led lights and/or lightbars, 2 mars lights, a roto-ray, powercall and finally, a q siren!!!! 5 stars!! favorite!!

  • How many people does the rig hold? But it is a great video! For the live-in program, if you go to Millersville University can you do it?

  • I love the begining part where he just cuts the guy off

  • eden is one ot the busyest vol companys in lancaster county and they also have i live in program

  • Is there an advantage to having a trailer carrying the ladder or is it a style or generation thing? Does it hold a longer ladder? anyone know how long approximately? I have seen single unit trucks carrying up to 112' ladders what about the tillers? thanx awesome video by the way!!!

  • Smeal makes a ladder truck with a 125' stick - I think that's the largest straight stick ladder on the market, but i could be wrong.

The advantage of a tractor drawn aerial (tiller) is that it can maenuver tight streets and corners easier than a standard ladder truck.

In rural areas like Lancaster, Pa, tillers are not very practical, but it's very traditional and you can't deny that it looks cool.

Los Angeles, Baltimore, DC, and Philadelphia run tillers for almost all ladder companies.

  • Yeah that makes sense better maneuverability. Thanks for the info bud!!! cheers

  • Wayfaerer320, E-one used to make a 135' stick, not sure if they still do

  • Volunteer Tiller? Wow.

  • Just in time to save the basement!!

  • i thought the same thing

  • pierce is the way to go!!!

  • @FEFDExplorer47 Check out my Dept, we roll with all Pierce. Also have a 2010 Pierce PUC Rescue Squad on an Impel chassis being built.

  • Lovin those LED's and Powercall!!!

  • yep Truck/Tiller 2-4 Eden Fire

  • yea its there hurst tools

  • is there a tool mounted on the front of the truck. went to fast to tell

  • Nice tiller truck

  • wats shockin is u dont see any volunteer depts here in NY atll wit these tillers well done guys

  • we usaly dont have any situations where we need tillers

  • I usually don't like yellow fire apparatus, but I do have to say this has to be one of the nicest trucks I've ever seen!

  • Two Mars lights, a centered Rotoray, a Q and a Powercall; this truck CANNOT be missed when travelling to a call! No question about it you WILL see it coming!!

  • dont forget the bright paint scheme

  • Hahaha!! Of course!!!

  • nice rig i wish canal fulton could afford one of these

  • canal fulton, as in ohio canal fulton, close to canton?

  • yeah we just got a new station last year

  • ive seen the new station. i'm a firefighter at north canton.

  • Whoa that is one sweet rig. Love the Battenburg markings on the back, the paint job and the lights! Well done! Rare to see a tiller nowadays!

  • it is not rare to see tillers now a days are you shitting me dc has a ton of them

  • Sorry! I just didn't see a lot of them at least on Youtube. I know DC has them but it seems like everyone gets the straight aerials nowadays. I know Buffalo ditched theirs for one thing, don't know why. I used to see them fairly frequently in the 80s here and in other cities.

  • Same we Los Angeles CITY

and a few in Los Angeles County

  • i loveeee the truck

  • looks like an O.W.L.V.F.D truck.

  • Awesome truck, wierd siren...whats it called..and I am loving the Chevron striping on the front bumper and the back.

  • is called a q and powercall

  • Pierce may not be my favorite, but that is one beastly truck.

  • That siren tone is kinda wierd but its all good, they have a good ol Q on board! Haha! The tone of that siren isnt a big deal though. Its a VERY nice truck!

  • whats that funny spinny thing on the front?

  • That's a Roto-Ray.

  • sounds cooler than it looks!

  • saw this truck in person back a year or two ago when a couple Eden Firefighters offered a tour to me.....nice trucks and station specially truck 24

  • i like these type of fire trucks, really when there ran by Vollies

  • they don't have these in the UK sadly.

  • just that here any citys big enough to require a ladder have enough calls to provide paid crew and the one or two towns that have a ladder truck its normally on about 3 or 4th to be turned out maybe 30-50 times a year and the 1st truck would be a paid crew

  • thats a huge ladder for a volunteer station

  • What does the fact that they are volly have to do with their ladder size?

  • They could use it as a ladder, and a squad. There is alot of storage space on that.

  • they got rid of two trucks and combined them to get that, one side is the truck company and the other side is the rescue company

  • cool
