I've tried everything as well I think I will have to replace my modem. I can't even go through an hour of online gaming without having this thing going dead on me. My internet connection drops off then go back on again I keep getting this every 30 minutes, when I'm lucky. It's been impossible to play anything or even use skype.

My router has everything built in in one it cuts of internet connection like about every 2 or 1 month everytime I turn it on or do as u said the Dsl light area just blinks back and forth and the internet light doesn't appear

I have a D-Link model: WBR-2310.

One day my connection just stopped it didn't start with having minor cut-outs it just downright stopped it's the first problem I've had with it, I've  tried cycling it many many times, the icons just flash. Help?

(P.s) The problem is not with my laptop, it connects to any other network except my home one :-(

@mralanv i have noticed that if you open less internet sights it slightly helps. but i havent found a solution to stop :/ . we have to ask this dude if he knows :p

I have a problem with my modem and router. my internet has 2 connections and i can only connect to one. When i try to connect to the other connection (CONNECTION 2) , it identifies it as an unidentified network. how do i fix this

hey when i sign into xboxlive it sayz test xboxlive connections so every time when i do that and it sayz xboxlive is up and running then it signs me out of xboxlive and when i sign into xboxlive it sayz choose anorther avatar and when i look at my avatar.

it's just black and i resarted my router and stuff and if still does the same thing and waht do i do?.

i always get disconnected from the internet then goes back to normal after 5 or 10 mins this happens everyday and its annoying, and i also get this flashing red light on the router when this happens..does that mean i need a new router? also im not even sure if its a router or modem because it has the antenna and phone wire that connects to phone jack, so i went and bought a netgear rangemax wireless router connected it to the modem/router or watevaer it is and still does same plz someone help

i have a different problem, my internet disconnects like every 5 mins, and i'm using a verizon router and a zyxel prestige 861 vdsl modem, and i have been using this setup through WAN ethernet for 3 years and had no problems with it, and few weeks ago, the lights on the dsl and the router are acting strange, they are suppose to be blinking but the lights turns off for 5 secs and turns back on for like .5 secs and goes back off and comes back on. GAMING DISCONECT

@hoohoohooful i actually power off the modem for some time like half hour, and turn the modem on first, after the modem has completely finished it's cycle, i turn the router on, after all the lights turns green, i use the internet and play PS3, i can only play for like 15 mins, maximum 30, and i have to do this all over again, i called verizon and they said never turn off the modem (firmware updates) and sometimes when i use wireless like my laptop, the router stays on but i never see my router

hey mechrocktech, I have this problem where I keep getting disconnected ever 5 minutes. I have to keep re-setting it over and over and it's starting to piss me off..

I've had the same router and modem for about 4-5 years, should I change it or is it my ISP?

i have the same problem you had before you got a new modem. Mine only last about an hour an a half and then it dies out for a little, then comes back on and does it all over again. It blows cause i called and they said i had to pay 100 dollars for a new one, screw that.

The problem for me is that my connection get lost.. But the computer can't understand it and it sais i have connection when nothing works at all.. This happens like every hour and i have to restart my computer to get my internet back.. I'm the only one having this problem in my familly

@yoerik96 if your a heavy internet user with either one computer that is used a lot or a bunch connected to your network that can over heat the modem and fry some stuff inside. It happend to me luckily i went to my internet provider and got the modem replaced with one that is for more hard core internet use.

Hey, mechrocktech my internet had problems at the beginning when we started using it at our new house like about a year ago. After a while it became good and almost never disconnected. Althought sometimes the dsl would disconnect and reconnect, which is very annoying when im in the middle of online gaming or surfing the internet. About 2 days ago my internet started having the same problem. But now it's worst it keeps disconnecting and reconnecting and i barely have a little 5mins wit internet:(

my modem has a phone cable and coaxial cable input, does that make my internet faster?

Alittle added idea : Check your wires to make sure there tight and "snapped" in Aswell make sure your connection wires/cable are for internet use Some cables work for TV but only have little use with Your Modem you will get The internet but at a slower rate Cable spliter are the same I once had a cable spliter That was cheap and was only getting 9.5 Mbps on a 20.0 Mbps line ...A link to a trusted Speed test might help people aswell cheers

I have broadband modem when i play on xbox live i get connection interuption all the time in then it say client command overflow. The Us/Online stops blink sometimes but my internet is working though in i have a zyxel router
