  • Pippi longStocking

  • Pippi longj

  • Oscar, you aren't supposed to sing that song. That's Kermit's signature tune. You have your own signature tune. Sing "I Love Trash" instead.

  • OH MY GOD HE MEANT KERMIT THE FROG, I HAVE SEEN THE UNIVERSE

  • So bathe, and don't go back to the swamps...

    Jeez, you're such a dolt.

  • Hey I remember Oscar when he was Orange.

... but his mold issues turned him green.

  • @2011WJ ah the creator expalined that it was the humidty from the swamp he went to when he want on vactaion

  • Hm, I actually didn't know there were other grouches on Sesame Street. How... informative? :D

  • heheh love this...And ive always loved green :)

  • heheh love this...

  • @kermitandthemuppets3

If it's good enough for the speaker of the house, it's good enough for grouches.

  • Does anyone remember when the Sesame Street citizens went to New MExico and Oscar climbed into one of those outdoor ovens, thinking it was a garbage can, but shot out ("ouch!") when he realized they were VERY hot?

  • this song for some reason reminded me of weed..

  • @CakeSpaceBE maybe because you're a pot head??

  • I thought this would be an episode of Oscar talking about recycling.

  • ''Oh sorry Oscar I dont wanna be a burden''

    AHAHAH.

  • Man Oscar the grouch and the cookie monster were (and still are) the best

  • I so love Oscar and green is my fav color...this is one of my fav song by him

  • oscar the crouch is the best charecter on this show i think its stupid that the kicked him off

  • I'm not necessarily happy being a grouch, but I relate to this song in that I get very tired trying to be happy all the time. Sometimes I just want to be grouchy and crabby, and nobody will let me.

  • sesame street is some bullshit

  • I should be writting a philosophy essay for the university right now.

  • racist

  • Funny, I always thought of him as an angry old Italian. Like Danny DeVito.

  • Danny DeVito is a meaner grouch than Oscar!

    watch?v=p06v5dNY6Ag

  • Being puce! Ha ha ha go Oscar!

Love Caroll, Jim,and all those guys!

  • Omg. I loved Oscar when I was a little kid. I still do! <3

  • Lol, hilarious!

  • Oscar originally was a BRIGHT yellow...

  • oscar the grouch was orange

  • fake, Oscar was orange

  • @andremiguelaa: Originally he was orange, but he was changed to green after the first few seasons, yet the song--written for Jim and sung initially by Kermit (Jim himself)--was given to Oscar and Carroll Spiney out of respect for Kermit and Jim.

  • YESSS!!! That was great!

  • they treat oscar like shit. no wonder why he oesnt get along with people.

  • Off-camera, that is.

  • maybe true

  • That IS true.

  • lol.

  • Actually I think they treat Oscar well. That's just not the way Oscar wants it. He prefer to be left alone and to critize everone else.

  • i think scientists found out it was in the Grouch genetics.

  • My God, they're scraping the barrel so much these days that they have to recycle the old material in such awful ways! Cancel the show, already, or show repeats of the first 2,745 (1969-1990) episodes! Peace.

  • statman: Certainly not me. I knew Jim Henson--through Kermit--sang that song first.

  • Zen.

  • Never seen that before, it made me laugh!

  • he was Orange the first season

  • Dyo you know of any things in the world that are puce?

  • Oh ok thanks

  • I have no memory of this.

    What year was this from?

  • puce oscar? what color is puce?

  • That's precisely his point.

  • Puce is a shade of dark purplish red.

  • It's actually a rather nice color, to be honest. I'm not sure Oscar would have liked being puce; it's prettier than he thinks.

  • did you just call me beautiful

  • never talk like that about a Grouch! haha

  • never talk like that about a Grouch!

  • There was a sketch years and years ago which began with Oscar absentmindedly singing this song... "having to spend each day the color of the money" was the lyric, if I recall.

  • Not quite as memorable as the original, but still a good example of Oscar's "grouch humor". Four stars!
