The Eurofighter has Forward swept canards giving it the ability to have a forward axis of pitch...giving it the ability to pull of very high angle moves.....the Raptor has thrust vectoring engines....but they give it a pith axis at the rear not the front...

Hence making the Eurofighter better in maneuverability...even when lacking stealth....good ol DOGFIGHTING....always wins..

but what you've got to remember is, that they might have the greatest plane, but using it is a different kettle of fish. you have to be able to put your knowledge of the jet into good and beet the bogies.

But we're talking maneuverability here. Not dog fighting. As dog fighting would never be done at such low speeds. And yes, the Raptor doesn't take any guff. Stalls and flat spins are pretty. But they're useless in any kind of flying other than exhibitions to impress the crowd. LMAO and you actually think I'm a 106 year old from Aruba. lol How bout a 25 year old that's a crewchief (jet mechanic) that's actually in the USAF? Would he know anything?

My 'guess' is that the Raptor isn't a bad dawg fighter at all, in fact its abilities are quite classified indeed! As both you and I know, a modern day engagement between the Raptor and another fighter would begin (and most likely end) well beyond visual range. So are you turning wrenches on the 16 or 15?

That and the stealth capabilities combined with the world's most advanced avionics/missiles and the supporting infrastructure of AWACS and such and you've got a clear cut case wherein any opposing Air Force would be launching a suicide mission if they tried to fight the Raptor!

Precicely lightcycle. Vectored thrust was added to the F-22 to compensate for the lack of maneuverability because of the stealth technology used.

The F-22 is able to do things which make the "cobra maneuver" look boring. The only thing added to "compensate" for the airframe's stealthiness was the fly-by-wire computer system. The F-22 is actually incredibly maneuverable. Thrust vectoring is the icing on the cake.

The F-22 is speced for stealth primarily.

How they really compare maneuver wise probably isn't really known (at least to the general public)..

although either way it'll be a close one.

Lets just say I'm not general public. The F-22 ability's are at least that of the SU-35. After some quick research from online sources (mainly Wikipedia) I found that the F-22 Raptor was actually designed with the ability's of the SU-35 in mind. The SU-35 doesn't even cruise at the sonic level. And lets also not forget, the SU-35 also has Vectored Thrust.
