@msouza94 while I don't doubt the witch rule, I think the 3 3's on her hand are there for a more pedestrian reason. She had said it was in remembrance of a dead friend. Around that time there was a shirt being sold in rock shops that had the 3's in that font & configuration with the phrase "Half Evil" under it. If you see her band before she did Rockstar, The Fighting Tongs, I think u might think that's a more likely explanation.

Seriously, this is the only reality show I ever watched in it's entirety. I think Jordis was the best performer, but INXS had not intention of picking a female as their front person. But I am glad they included the females as we got to some of the best performers in the country. The show rocked.

From day 1, INXS wanted a Michael Hutchence sound alike to sing their back catalog. Nothing wrong with that, but they used the illusion of a fair contest on national TV to get some free publicity to resurrect their careers. Jordis was the most artistic and soulful (and my personal favorite) of all the contestants, but perhaps not right for INXS.

Jordis was friends with Brian Ottoson, the guitar player from American Head Charge, who died a while before Rockstar INXS. He was a huge Nirvana fan. Hence, the Nirvana version of the song. He's also the reason she has the 3's on her palm. I remember watching this when it was on, seeing the 3's, and bawling like a baby.

i SORT OF WONDERED THE SAME THING. There were so many great performers on this edition,, yet none of them went on to bigger things. Marty Casey, Suzie McNeil, Mig Ayesa, Jordis and of course Rockstar INXS winner JD Fortune were all great on the show.

i also LOVE the Cobain version. Much of music is subjective and I tend to listen with my heart and not my head. Maybe it was her explanation beforehand about how this song was for a friend of hers who had passed that got me, but the emotion she put into this song brought tears to my eyes and goosebumps to the rest of me.
