Deleting them off of the truck is about the only way to take care of EGR cooler problems. Dirty Diesel Customs has an EGR cooler delete kit for like $400
Hey Nice truck. I saw that you had the egr block off plates are thye difficult to install and is that all you have to do is put the block off plates on and turn the egr off with your programmer.
@76f250fe, I actually don't run them anymore because they increase drive pressure a bit with the higher tunes. Install is pretty easy, it is just time consuming. You have to have either a tuner than shuts off the EGR, or tunes written for it to be code free.
The 310 tune is horsepower. That was a beta file during the testing period. I ran a 12.96 @ 102.2 with the production file. Horsepower calculater says 584 horsepower which comes out to about 310-315 extra horsepower over stock
alright well thanks for info, I haven't kept up on the 08's and up and was curious, tryin to figure which truck I intend on getting, but I appreciate it...
Thanks man. I have since made higher and will have new video up soon. Put down 567/1136 this past weekend up in TN on the same dyno. I would like to come to the one in Carolina on the 7th, but its just to far of a drive. He will be in Griffin, GA on Nov 14th. That is much closer to me
Yes, that was with the Spartan 310 beta tune, AFE Stage 2, and a 5" downpipe back exhaust. There is a Suncoast direct solenoid in the tranny, and EGR block off plates on it, but neither serve an actual performance purpose. More or less just on the truck for safety reasons
So your running one of those big spartan tunes? you had what 560 horse and 1100 foot pound of tourque if I remember right. not bad at all but not that good with twins. I made 551 and 1074 Jeffrey with an 05 dodge cummins with stock HE351 turbo. I have scary larry on it.
Yes, I run the Spartan 310 beta tune. The truck put down 560 and 1110 foot lbs with a 1.02 correction factor. With standard correction it was 571 and 1133. A 6.4 does not have twins by the way. It is a sequential charger setup with a low an high pressure charger that work off each other to spool quicker. They make about 38 psi stock, which is all my truck made on that dyno. It normally makes 45-48 psi on the street. I highly doubt that your truck made what it did with just a tune
Ya, know 05 stock 5.9L Cummins makes those numbers with just a tune, intake, exhaust. Maybe if it have dual CP3's, lift pump, and bigger injectors (since 05 have the smallest injectors a Common rail 5.9L ever had) and then still you'd probably need a bigger turbo or a compound setup to push those numbers. A Dmax (LB7, LLY, LBZ) can make those kinda of numbers with a single turbo, single CP3 and heavy EFI live tuning.
Hey man I have a 2008, F350 w/6.4. I keep having trouble outbid EGR coolers. How can I eliminate the problem?

what's the 310 stand for? a specific type of spartan package, or just the gain in hp and/or torque?

Its About time Ford/Navistar put out an engine that will make some easy horsepower!

I only wish a manual would still be offered in the Super Duty. My 6.0L got a 5R110. Very stout trans, but bangen gears is so much fun.

You can get a manual in the 6.0 and 6.4, they just arent worth a shit

I've got an '08 6.4L with a 6 speed. I heard they're not going to offer them in the 2011 trucks. I'm pretty bummed out.

Not bad?! The only mods are programmer, cold air and exhaust, right? Incredible.

Yep, to keep heat out of the coolant and engine right (EGR blockers). Great run man, its a monster.
