Hi I have lived with Lupus for about 7 years, I am a 31 year old male and it feels some days like i am 80. the pain in the joints and the tiredness. its horrible. It's hard to take care of my 5year old daughter some days. I have had pleurisy and paracarditis three times from the lupus. and i have been in the hospital for my other ailments because of the Lupus. sometimes it is difficult to even get out of bed in the morning. i hope they find a cure soon.

Why even write a comment about what a FICTIONAL TV CHARACTER says? I think it is so irresponsible of the writiers of that show to even include that dialogue - I wonder how many angry letters from actual lupus sufferers they have received.

Anyways - do you normally take advice from television characters?

i was diagnosed with lupus about maybe 6 months ago and im only 13 years old ive already started to give up hope for a cure nothing helps the tiredness and the pain i cant begin to feel for the people who have had this for years

Please don't give up. There are natural cures that your doctor(w/ all due respect) was not trained in. U fortunately, doctors are primarily trained in pharacuticals which is a buisness not a health service.

No. Millions of people of all sexes, races and ages get it. It's not a proven fact, but from my experiences, it's hereditary.

trusting in the lord is good,but he's not going to take this lupus away from those who suffer from it.

God can't make it go away,it's something that can be taken care of through medical treatment but never erased completely.

Lupus is a life sentence of Challenging Ailments. Those of us afflicted with this disease need to raise public awareness and inform the masses. You ,yes you know someone with Lupus, diagnosed or not that is one of the major problems. Know that it is inherited.

It's educating plus it can be scary. But leave it all to the lord and he will over come this illness in it's due time. He never fails. Thats how I deal with my Lupus. So I think it makes it a little easier to tolerate. Everything that is said about this illness is true,but don't give up. Open your heart and invite the lord in and he will make things better.
