"Pick up the hats for the Hatts." lol that was actually funny, and So was that last balloon when it landed on the flatbed. At least the drivers were doing something other than being in their cabs. There were some nice bits to this, and the 1-2-3 mistake thing was switched up a bit, but still.. it wasn't my favorite for this season.
Compare this episode to season 4's "Gallant Old Engine. it'll make you cry :P I grew up with season 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5. even my little cousin enjoys the classic series more than the new stuff. Thomas was unique because it was railway smart. kids like unique shows more than shows that are all the same. Thomas has completely lost it. if I was in charge, I would have fired Sharon Miller has soon has she asked me to approve the script.

I feel sorry for those at Nitrogen Studios. This fabulous CGI animation is being wasted on awful episodes like this. I don't care what people say, I got a good laugh out of this episode. It was a nice Thomas and Percy ep, and Gordon's role was perfect. I chuckled when the yellow balloon, out of air, landed on the flatbed and Thomas just looked at it speechless. :P
well gordon seems to be the only engine in this episode that even represents what little inteligance there is on sodor... i mean... i know and accept its a kids show and all, but what sort of moral is this? but the fat controller's frustration makes me smile at 6:52 :)

Gee, where have we seen this before.....? hmmm... 'Duncan and the Hot Air Balloon' much? This is the biggest fail ever in Thomas and Friends history, and I thought Seasons 8 and 13 were fails, but this just takes the cake!
At least in 'James and the Red Balloon' they inflated the balloon AT the field, not put on flatbeds only to have it blown off by the wind!!!! Thanks parent activists, you guys suck so much (from the words of TheUnluckyTug02) >:(

Now in real life, the balloon would be transported deflated and inflated when arrives there. Plus this task would be something a Lorry would do (great time to bring back the Horrid Lorries).

Ok, Wow. This Episode is Slightly Worse than Percy's New Friends. Wouldn't it be wise to blow the baloon at the baloon show instead of delivering it via rail? Thats what i would do.

"Pick up the hats for the Hatts." lol that was actually funny, and So was that last balloon when it landed on the flatbed. At least the drivers were doing something other than being in their cabs. There were some nice bits to this, and the 1-2-3 mistake thing was switched up a bit, but still.. it wasn't my favorite for this season.

Compare this episode to season 4's "Gallant Old Engine. it'll make you cry :P I grew up with season 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5. even my little cousin enjoys the classic series more than the new stuff. Thomas was unique because it was railway smart. kids like unique shows more than shows that are all the same. Thomas has completely lost it. if I was in charge, I would have fired Sharon Miller has soon has she asked me to approve the script.

@missoliverandblossom But let us also remember. It's HIT's choice to listen to parent activists. They have more money than any one of these "soccor mom" parents. HIT doesn't have to listen to what the average folks want. If they want to make a good season, they can (at least a good potential to do so) but choose not to. I'm guessing that if they don't listen to these activists, they could sue them or something. Of course, in this economy, sueing about a tv show is a waste of money.

Even sharon miller has to listen to the parent activists & there are other writers besides her.Series 8-11 never had this kind of writing nor did series 12 so why did have to be series 13 & beyond anyways?

I feel sorry for those at Nitrogen Studios. This fabulous CGI animation is being wasted on awful episodes like this. I don't think I've EVER been furious when watching a Thomas episode, but this one I was. Sharon Miller had better start bucking her ideas up, because if she keeps writing stuff like this I will stop watching the show altogether.

It would be alot cheaper ( they need to be cheaper ) and it wouldn't cost them more as they now have CGI.

I don't care what people say, I got a good laugh out of this episode. It was a nice Thomas and Percy ep, and Gordon's role was perfect. I chuckled when the yellow balloon, out of air, landed on the flatbed and Thomas just looked at it speechless. :P

The CGI in this is brill BUT there's no excuse for Sharon Miller to make stories which have no entertainment values and 0% rail realism.
