There's really little separating a server from a PC these days.

RAID controllers... check, cards for PCs, and chipsets w/ built-in cheap RAID.

Dual CPUs... check, EVGA SR-2 & ASUS boards.

Redundant PSUs... check, just need a case to support them

Multiple Network ports... check.

Management Console... this is the only puzzle piece missing. Up-time win for servers.

Servers are all about 1.) up time, 2.) concurrent connection load, and 3.) redundancy/reliability. We have almost all of that in PCs.

Sad... he didn't see the default RAID 0 setting at 11:58 and just pushed through; then later its at RAID 1(obviously had to redo it later)
