So Government will make it all better right? Give me a break. A third of the estimated 40 million uninsured make over 50,000 dollars per year. And twenty percent of rest are illegal with a percentage of the remaining being in between jobs and should be good to go once finding one. So lets destroy the heath care of 300,000,000 to help out 3 fickin percent. WTF?
Tell me, where are all these "good to go" jobs as far as insurance? In case you've been in a coma for the past few years, the unemployment rate is through the roof, people are losing their homes, the cost of food and fuel is sky high, and companies have been dropping health benefits for employees like lead balloons because they can't afford the jacked up rates.
Come on its all the GREEN jobs Oblamea is going to create with Cap and Tax.

Funny, I don't remember the mid 1990s acid rain cap & trade program being anything but a success. You remember that period, don't you - how the economy was a mess in the 1990s under Bill Clinton & it was all because of cap & trade? Don't remember that? Maybe because it didn't happen.

These reductions did not require replacing the vast majority of our existing energy infrastructure with new infrastructure in a relatively short time. Nor did they require significant technological innovation.
You know, maybe you're right. Why would we ever need to consider upgrading infrastructure or bothering with significant technological innovation? After all, if you think about it, whale oil fuel & horse buggies worked perfectly well, so wasn't it foolish & wasteful to bother progressing beyond them, since those new-fangled horseless carriages required petroleum fuel & would require new infrastructure support in a relatively short period of time?
Hey I agree that fossil fuels are barbaric and Hydrogen would have been a great alternative. But this bill is horrible. Lets do it right using clean coal, nuclear power, wind and solar in unison. Dont make up some cockamamie story that carbon dioxide is warming the planet and all the hundreds of years of energy you now have on hand can only be used by China, Russia, India and the third world.
