Two things I want to tell you, first, a good rule is to ALWAYS turn off things like grills, griddles, ovens (whatever) when you are finished, and two, get a smoke alarm!!!! Thanks for the update, hope you get some downtime soon to work on the computer!
omg careful next time! i nearly burnt the house down making toast :L mum was pissing herself so she had to tell all the family...thank you mother...i am now in the hall of shame...psh!
lol that reminds me of the time i left the copper tea kettle on the burner for too long. it turned funny colors and i wasn't too eager to use it again... i've set plastic bags on a hot burner too, which just smelled really bad. anyway, i'm glad you were able to clear out the smoke! hope it didn't damage the wallpaper or anything...
That reminds me of the time I almost burnt down my parents house when I still lived with them. I was in the garage and I was lighting a political poster on fire then blowing the fire out. Well, after the 5th light, it wouldn't go out and started to burn more of the poster. Panicking, I ran to the kitchen to grab some water. My dad walked through the door as I was getting water so I started to freak out. I put out the fire in time but my dad found the poster a week later and I was grounded.
@stefanmckinley Here here! A Grill is an outdoors occurrence. He's using a griddle. If it doesn't have a propane tank or need coal/wood, then it's a griddle.
lol yeaaah i've done that before, left things on and it almost catching on fire!!! I was cooking rice one time in the microwave forgot about it, next thing i know i see smoke coming from the kitchen....yeaaaah not good!
@alistaro Yeah they do grill you cuntbag. They have indoor grills (George Foreman anyone?) and outdoor grills. The thing raythefox seems to be referring to would be called a "griddle" in America, as others have already pointed out for you. Thanks for listening. Bye bye.
yah, i second the smoke alarm idea. :P

its an electric griddle not a grill, in Texas at least.
A grill is outside in my Texas opinion.
