U could help make your points to rehabilitate the swastika if u pointed out that the National Socialist German Workers Party did not call their symbol a "swastika," they called it a Hakenkreuz (hooked cross) because it was a type of cross. German National Socialists did not call themselves "Nazis" & they used their hooked cross to represent crossed S-letters for their name: "socialists." See the work of the symbologist Dr. Rex Curry. @news2journalism Interesting info, yes they called it hakenkreuz as you said but it wasnt the S letters as you say but it was the "Swastika" symbol of the indus valley civilization of the Aryan people. The Nazis were obsessed with the Aryans and had created a whole "myth" about them.

Now the most important thing is that their savage actions defamed the Swastika symbol and today in the people's mind that symbol causes fear and hatred. But in antiquity it had another meaning.

I commented on this video once before, and at this time I would like to comment further, because I really do love this video, and the swastika is something I loved even before I knew just how many cultures had used it, including—incredibly enough—the Jews. I myself am Jewish, and I have realized that this could be a very useful, even powerful, tool in the reclaiming of the swastika—if I identify myself as Jewish every time I speak in favor of the swastika.
