where in B.C do you reccomend for good singletrack trails that are not bike park type stuff that you have to pay for and cue? Am i best with B.C or Alberta for this type of stuff. I have heard that much of b.c riding is very much downhill. Squamish was beautiful when i went but i didnt research the traisl enough and it isnt as easy as i though to find trails.

There is TONS of singletrack non lift operated DH in BC. ask around and youll find plenty...hell you can even just go to the top of basically any mountain around and find some trails.

Whistler is the best place to go, my buddy has a 3 million dollar place up there, and all we did was party, drink, eat...and of course bike like crazy, best place to go for a vacation eva.

i think whistler is more fun durring the summer than the winter. The weather is perfect most the time, the mountain biking is by far the best you will find, and the partying and food is the best around! just a bit expensive, but its worth it for shure!!!! GOOOO WHISTLER!!!

you could ride every trail at Whisler on a Hard tail, the place is all health and safety concious remember, that's why there's a load of tabletops everywhere and pretty much f**k all doubles. just about everything else isn't too tech. you'd love it

i went for the whole season, its best to check out when Crankworx is, although the festival is great the trails and lifts are way busier in that week (and the week leading after it). anytime in the season is good, probably easrly as possible is best before the trails get too much traffic down them

spend 2000 and you'll still be upgrading stuff; 3000 will get you some decent parts, but about 3500 to 4000 and you can whatever you want. Sucks. Motorcycles are almost cheaper. DH/freerides a very expensive sport, you're always replacing stuff
