  • Wonder Woman!

  • Make sure you do your shoulder warmups as well.

  • form nazis again....i have been doing shoulder presses like she was for 27 years and never had any shoulder problems....controlled and slow.....power it up... slow back down.

  • her form seemed alright

  • That was impressive

  • wow it was great to see erin workoput and that she took the pointers provided. Your amazing hun other ppl would of acted like and idot. Keep up the great work

  • 50 ILBs !!!!!!!! HOLY SHIT !!!!! GO ERIN ! :)

  • Very impressive, nicely done!

In addition to what other people have said, I would suggest just put the incline on the bench a little bit lower to take the pressure off of your shoulders. You'll still hit the upper chest area, but the movement won't be awkward for your shoulders.

That little change helped resolved my shoulder and elbow problem.

Goodluck training, have fun and keep lifting ^^

  • 50 lbs?! Erin Stern should change her name to Diana Prince.

  • easy....

  • Actually, there are a few different ways to perform chest exercises which all depend on the area you are trying to target. Erin's form is great but the weight might have been a little excessive for that specific form. Shawn's explanation is great, however that mainly applies to powerlifting (heavy weight). Bodybuilding is different from powerlifting...if you are going for max weight, use Shawn's technique, if you are going for definitiion, lighten the load and keep your elbows out like Erin.

  • lmao @ this 150lb fom nazi. bet the dude can't even squat 3 plates

  • @shawnm618 why have you sent me! that message ? r you joking ?

  • I love you as a competitor Erin, but your form sucks. that's a shoulder injury waiting to happen.

  • @shawnm618 Maybe you can elaborate - if I'm doing something wrong, I'd like to fix it! Thanks! :)

  • @erinstern5 See how you are over pronating your wrists almost like you are trying to get your elbows higher. This position puts your glenohumeral joint in a very bad position and can injure the supraspinatus muscle in the rotator. From my experience (now I am a powerlifter) turning your wrists to a 45 degree angle and tucking your elbows and pinching the middle back helps take stress of the shoulder and activates the chest more, and it also helps increase power output

  • @shawnm618 Thanks, Shawn...I see what you're saying & will try that next time. Thank you for explaining the movement in such great detail! Take care and train hard! :)

  • @erinstern5 Thank you for replying, makes me respect you even more. I met you at Southern States and you are a great person. And a great competitor. Good luck in the future :-)

  • Yes you are right about this thing. I trained before like Erin and I had a shoulder pain. Since I train with this technique ( probably 3 yrs) i haven't any problems. And really the Supraspinatus made me a problems.

  • @shawnm618 wtf here form was dam near perfect lol.

  • big bedroom

  • che bella fica!

  • Incredible strength with perfect form. And what a beauty! There are very few men, pound for poound, that are as strong.

  • She is stronger than I am. I'm a guy 5'5",125, she might be able to kick my ass in wrestling

  • sHE'S stronger than some guys i know, but holy crap those 50's ARE big, i thought they were 70's.

  • good strength!

  • Holy crap Erin, I wish I could lift as heavy as you. I'm also a gal

  • Awesome, Good to see ladies slingin some real weight!!

  • 50's in my minimum....not that heavy.....

  • "Piece of cake!" lol! Awesome work Erin :)

  • Wow, that really impressive. I hope you win. I'll be cheering for you.

  • Miss Erin, not a training comment, just a poetry with some music, I know it's not mine, but it is so good to me tat I wanna share with you... 'Love Will Tear Us Apart" by Joy Division I hope you can ear it and like off course. sorry for my bad english

  • Nice slight arch in lower back. I do the same to were my tailbone and shoulders are the only thing touching the bench. That way it really concentrates on the upper chest.

  • Wow, last time I tried that I only used 45's.

  • You are so beautiful and your body is amazing!

  • love the video and the music....very fresh...makes me wanna go to Miami
