  • j'aime pas...dsl

  • OMG...so awful...music should be musical...nothing worse than bad techno!

  • @MsCherokeeblue If you don't like it, that's fine. But if you don't know what you're talking about, you shouldn't talk like you do.

  • @EctInc No offense intended. It is just my opinion. I wasn't feeling that rendition. It lacks a sense of musicality to me and felt inorganic. Sorry if you felt my criticism was too harsh.

  • @MsCherokeeblue What I mean is, you can call it inorganic. You can say you don't like it. That's a great comment. But just saying it's downright "awful?" That's just rudely insulting.

  • @MsCherokeeblue Above all, give it another try. You might find that you like it :)

  • tAKE IT OFF

  • something about a woman singing in french is just so sexy :l

  • Cest bon! -Justice

  • dnb or dubstep? btw jizz

  • Loved it. <3

  • So its a dubstep cover of a song with a video full of jump cuts. Youtube.mpg

  • HOW DID YOU MAKE THE BASS LINE??????

  • DX7 FTW

  • wawawawawawawawawawa

  • very good singer, very bad mix, and horrible chainsaw wobbles that were outdated 2 years ago

    she deserved better imo :(

  • @ownageDan Well what you don't seem to realize is that they're not worried about being "outdated" or not.

  • @ownageDan Dude, who cares about being outdated and trends in general.. Caring about that in itself is getting pretty old, imo. Well these guys fortunately don't care. They just seem to care about making wonderful groundbreakingly beautiful music. If you listen to this cascade of sonic greatness strictly from a genre-specific hipness perspective, you are blocking yourself from a mindblowing music experience. For your own sake, try giving it another shot, or 2. And btw, the mix gets 10 out of 10.

  • @ownageDan I disagree on every point O.o Louis' work is the only reason why I listen to these guys, he's friggin awetastic.

  • It's like dubstep only good!

  • Louistep.

  • When I look for katey perry I get a lot of porn :).

  • YES! more!!!

  • I.L.I.K.E.

  • where can i get this not in french and normal katy perry with dubstep? like same version dammit.

  • i cant stand dubstep... but when these guys do it, i find it acceptable.

  • turn on your mp3

    switch random musics

    find this song

up the volume to the max

    then fly

  • I watch this probably once a week to get my fix of DAMN GOOD DUBSTEP.

  • once the fits & siezures stopped, i really enjoyed it.

  • WAW ! :O

    Fantastique *o*

  • Holy sh... the dubstep comes from F' nowhere, AWESOME. :P

  • bunny rabbit.

  • WTF!!@!@!@ BOH!!!!

  • I have to replay this song every time i hear it, every time!

  • "baise moi" and then suddenly brutal dubstep in your face... I came.

  • i want music like this and the 'blow' cover on my pandora station, but i don't believe they have these covers. what should I tell them to look for?

  • @ZDrums24 This

  • @TravuhsWree i tried. its not there.

  • much better than perry's

  • ah there's actually so much music production in this.

    it deserves far more views.

  • @jacobclarke14 i agree so much

  • everybodies trippin on louis, (given he's the man) does anybody else think genevieve sounds like an angel?

  • @thedaydreamproject i agree. like with jack and nataly in pomplamoose, both louis and genevieve are extremely talented in a very unique way. neither should be ignored.

  • are the drums trigged or does louis have a special VST plug-in that turns your hollow sound into a supa damn fat drums sound from hell?

  • yeah come on now, you don't put the vocals over the filthy bass. you put the vocal section in the build, then you drop the bass by itself. lrn2dbstp lol

but seriously... you've made some cool tunes, keep up the good work

  • @rebscum Yeah, but seriously.. What are you on about? If you listen to the rest of their cool tunes as you put it, you'll find that they don't care about doing anything in a conventional way - in fact, mostly just the opposite. Imo, that's a major part of their unique sound in every single piece of music they have done together, and in Louis' own stuff too. I hope they will never follow any conventional music recipes, including yours, well-meant as it may be. Seriously.....

  • awesomee

  • Super reprise !

  • The drums in this sound a bit strange, could you explain how they were set up, and if any effects were used or anything?

  • I love this

  • @dprev030 i think you may just be jealous sir. these 2 have more talent than you could ever hope for =D

  • @hunterrulesall i actually agree with him. her voice was flat the whole time and the drop was really sloppy.

  • @13unlucky Isn't the drop supposed to be dirty? I thought that was the point of dubstep... Honestly, let me know if I'm wrong or misunderstand.

  • @Denkyuu its supposto be dirty but its just so sudden. i dont like it at least

  • @13unlucky I like the impact it has when it first kicks in. But to each his own!

  • inn... FRENCH? :D

  • so nasty!

  • HAHA I will totally admit to this being more French "interpretation" than "translation." Personally, I could listen to Gen sing "wa-ter-me-lon" over and over and I'd still watch it 30 times.

  • Honestly can't enough of this. ^_^

  • And suddenly dupstep.

  • The music is great. However, the sound effects are distracting. Sometimes, like in the case of a really tasty drummer, less is more if the part is precisely placed. The random placement here detracts from the essence of the composition.

  • a million times better than the original

  • I'm not really a fan of the dubstep influence... seems almost too easy for people as talented as yourselves. Still better than the original by leaps and bounds, though.

  • And "baise-moi" just means fuck me, really... The old "kiss" meaning has been long lost.

  • @FauneMusic regarding "baisse moi" I thought it literally meant "drop me"?

  • @lambm07 It's written "baisse moi" in the lyrics, but she sings "baise-moi". A "baiser" is a kiss, and the verb "baiser" used to mean, to kiss....but nowadays, it mostly means "to fuck" in french.

And "baisse-moi" don't really means anything in french, apart from something like "put me lower" or something like that.

  • @FauneMusic I do not agree with you, baisse-moi works perfectly it does mean kiss me in good french, in slang it's fuck me, and that creat such a good confusion that is way better that the english version.

  • @hypersite baise-moi. Pas baisse-moi.

  • @hypersite Faune was pointing out a homonym error, not a vocabulary error. Baisse-moi is "lower me". Baise-moi is "kiss me" or, as you pointed out, colloquially "fuck me".

  • I don't know who helped you translate but he's not French XD

    Sound's great though.

  • BRILLIANT!!

I just wish you wouldn't tempt me to view the original. Bleech. Of course it's my own damn fault. I should have learned after the Bieber fiasco.

  • you guys should do more with dubstep!!!

  • F*CK THAT'S HOT!

  • Man this is addicting! I've had it on repeat almost all day while on the nets.

  • This video is my first stop on youtube like every single day. shit.

What sort of keyboard/synth that is?

love the bass w LFOs on it, colorful note choices.

    Yall r00L 8)

  • Holy shit, this covers just freaking blew my mind. Incredible job!

  • i can't stop watching this

  • who did you make those dubstep sounds? what programme?

  • @tocoolforschool11rts generally those sounds are produced by hooking the LFO of a synthesizer into the frequency modulation of the filters in the synth. then by adjusting the rate/speed of modulation you can change the rate/speed of the wobble. The program shouldn't matter much. I use reason.

  • @mrVDyne thank you

  • I'd love to see an english version. But this is just as awesome.

  • @tnypxl No offense at all to you, but IMO translating the song into french is a deliciously subversive way to cover it. (The lyrics are roughly the same.) Just a brilliant cover.

  • @MrRodomontade No worries. She did sing it beautifully though!

  • Way better harmonies that the original! What software are you using for those synth sounds?

  • Wasn't expecting that!

  • freaking awesome, guys. Tentatively my favorite from you guys.

  • By the way XD supernaturel and extraterrestriel in french don't exist :'(

  • go cousin!

    (jack here...)

  • Jack Conte brought me here...this is awesome! Awesome leads me to awesome.

  • Super!

  • this is it.the unique taste of yours music

  • dubstep ftw

  • Usually don't like these guys, but this was awesome.

  • better than conte's

  • @DrSpock74 NO!!!

  • @DrSpock74

it's not the same style. not comparable. ;)

  • This song is ten times better when I have no idea what they're saying.

  • @KromaxDeditch a french translation of the original lyrics

  • omg fuck yes.

  • best video you've made. AWESOME

  • frickin crazy. this is really cool

  • GEE ZUS.

  • you guys are so fucking weird.. but i love it

  • What is this? Can you even call this dubstep? Whatever the hell it is, it is amazing.

  • I'm sure you did this on purpose, but in french "Baise-moi" means "Make love to me" (in a less flowery way) ;)

  • Woooowww. I don't know French or Whatever but that was epic. Man that was awesome.

  • Suck it Katy.

  • dubstep FTW !!!

  • this was cool but the classical musician in me doesnt like the reaaaaally awkward drum rhythm lol

  • i wouldn't classify this as dubstep even if it has a wobble bass. Still good none the elss

  • i think this is as far from katy perry as you can get while covering one of her songs

    and it's frikkin awesome!

  • Holy shit! My head just exploded. Everything sounds insane - drums, synths.. Genevieve's voice!! Damn. Killer harmonies and video editing. I have no idea how you got those dubstep sounds but this shit is off the hook!

  • @ryanlerman Agreed. Mind blown. How do you get those sounds? Great stuff.

  • super groovy!

  • What a ride! I spent the first 40 seconds wondering about the French, then delighting in how the vocals sounded, and then the drop at 0:40 scared the life out of me. Very well done!

  • So So So good you two! I love you guys.

  • I put my headphones on for this... and thats saying something. just when i thought you could get any better!

  • noise

  • Je l'aime beaucoup!!! Encore, continuez de faire les vidéos en français!!!

  • goddamn I love you

  • Shite.

  • I liked your original works better =( I subscribed to you guys in order to hear you, not Katy Perry.

  • This is mind-blowing and transcendent compared to the original - superb!

  • Lukasz Gottwald can eat his heart out. Meet the NEW doctor.

  • SUPER RAD! ESP. IN FRENCH!

  • this sounds a lot like the Klasix Kat version..O.o?

  • infinitely better than th original, still not quite enjoyable.

  • This is perfect

  • The bass wobbles are really overwhelming. I don't think they fit at all. I do, however, think that all annoying radio pop songs need to be sung in French.

  • Genevieve reminds me of Carmen Sandiego in this video. *hearts*

  • Why did they have to brostep this up?? Fuck.

  • Wow.... I cant understand a word of this but nice voice and i ove this!

  • I can't speak a lick of French, but that was sO dope! How long did it take to practice singing it? The whole arrangement; synths, drums and Louis's T......awesome!

  • Am I the only one who went "fffffuck yeah!!" at 0:40?

  • Louis. Your shirt. Give it to me.

  • I love it! Which is weird cause I hate dubstep.

  • fuck yes

  • Freaking RAD. Easily the most unique and original covers on youtube...you guys are awesome! (And Genevieve happens to be beautiful!)

  • I hear some Skrillex influence...

  • You guys rock. Such unique drumming. I love it.

  • I love it when creative musicians take something average and make it something extraordinary. Killin' !!

  • You all are amazing!!! And was that a DX-7? Too cool! :)

  • catchy + intelligent arrangement - favorited!

  • @songstowearpantsto I think you missed the +/= key :)

  • @BTbass hah + for plus, - for pause...but i see now it looks like a minus haha

  • @songstowearpantsto catchy + intelligent arrangement "=" favorited?

  • This is one of the few french things I like. Not because it's french. Because it's fucking brilliant.

  • En français !!!!!!!!!

  • mind = blown

  • I like this better. Why are you making me like pop? >_O

  • @quirkjerks since when is this pop??

  • @BrightBlackBanana The original is. They have done a few pop songs and made them better. hence making me like songs that were originally pop. Sorry about the confusion. ;)

  • Fuckin subscribed.

  • so effortless.

  • what about the lyrics? why haven't you put them in the downbar?

  • Unbelievable. I love that it's got the things that work for dubstep, but it's not overplayed.

  • EXELENTE, me encanta como exploran nuevas cosas

  • very cool :)

  • Better then the original

  • @Pharosdomi Definitely. :D

  • gorgeous.

  • Man I wish more dubstep were like this.

  • ohhh myyyy fuucking god... as soon as the drop hit i jizzed....
