I get chills every time I see this. So incredible. As she is outside looking in on her parents, you see the sadness in her eyes. Then you see the "ah ha" moment and then steely resolve. Her decision is made and there is no going back. I gasp every time I see her pull that sword out and flash her reflection in it. This is just one of the greatest movie scenes ever - animated or not.

mulan is one of the greatest disney leading ladies of all time. she is simply amazing. nobody, especially a young woman living in a country where females had no real rights, would dare to join an army, a crime considered punishable by death. but she did and it was because of her love for her father.

i also loved the scene where she closes her eyes when she`s about to cut off all of her long hair (i have very long hair too and i could never do that but seeing her make that decision was very intense) this movie just goes to show you that girls can be just as strong as guys can be

This is my favourite scene too. It´s one of the best scene in all disney movies. When I see it I feel so proud for be a woman. Other of my favourites scenes is when she´s climbing with the music... In spanish they said "Con valor" ("With courage") and I think it´s better than "Be a man..." ¬¬
