  • Thanks for the good review.

  • They've replaced that annoting knob with something else now! Mine stand just came in yesterday and it has something to adjust it. Waaayy better

  • So almost 9 months later...what are your thoughts? Still holding up? Any problems or issues or regrets?

  • Only a couple of things, both related to the folding feature.

1.)It's heavy, especially once you mount the shifter on it. So it's not as easy as you might think to move in and out of storage. It takes effort is all I'm saying, enough that sometimes I decide just to use the controller, and keep the stand in the closet if I'm tired or whatever.

2.)When you fold it up BE CAREFUL to slowly close it down on the G25 pedal. The bar is heavy enough that it could damage the plastic pedal.

  • where can i get this stand i live in cyprus i need help :(

  • I don't know why I'm getting negative rep by my comment, but that's what I read, and how I based my opinion off of it. I decided to go with the Rennsport because I've read that it's sturdier. Although, I do have a question: Where is the Wheel Stand Pro cheaper? Everywhere I've looked it costs about $20-$30 more. Just a question...

  • just ordered this about two days ago, i cant wait

  • i think this product is completely rubbish if u compere it to the wheel stand pro its cheaper, lighter and easier and i cant wait fr it fr my bday :)

  • I've heard good things about both stands, and from what I hear, you're right about how light and "easy" it is, but I also heard it's not nearly as sturdy. From all the reviews, it said the Wheel Stand Pro has a bunch of wobble, and that's due to being lighter, with the bolts not as secure(adjustable bolts), which makes it "easier". Both should be good, but I want a stand that doesn't wobble all over the place. It still folds up, but it is heavier, but that's not a big problem for me.

  • rennsports stand is only 19 pounds. and knob is replaced with bolt so it wont touch your right leg.

  • You're an idiot, this stand has way less movement than a playseat

  • when you buy it from Fanatec. do you get the steering wheel, gear stick, clutch brake accelrator etc it with/???

  • No - all you get is the stand. The wheel, pedals etc are made by Logitech, in this case it's the G25 model. However, Fanatec also makes racing wheels that work with this stand. You can order both at the same time from Fanatec if you want to go that way. I hear their wheels are good.

  • Do you have to buy a specific part to put the gear stick and steering wheel together on the stand

  • The G25 steering wheel goes on with just the basic Rennsport package. However, to attach the G25 shifter, you will need to pay $25 extra for an adaptor.

  • No, the shifter adapter is $20

  • Sorry haven't checked prices in a while. Pretty sure I paid 25, but that might have been after taxes/duty all that.

  • I just ordered the Porches wheel and stand at the same time, and was wondering if I needed anything else to mount it? I told them to hold off on my order until the wheel is released in Sept, but they never got back to me if I needed any kind of mounting plate. Any help would be nice.

  • No room for a playseat. This stand works well, costs less, is easy to fold up and put away when the living room needs to looks like grown ups live here. Playseat is good for basements or dedicated gaming rooms.

  • KITTY!!!!! randomly appears at 0:22 LOL

  • I just got mine and am disappointed in how much play the stand itself seems to have. It is quite wobbly.

  • Hmm...might want to tighten those bolts up a bit. I've not noticed wobbliness to be a big problem. I think it's as sturdy as this kind of design can be. Take a look at my video response.

  • I think I just was expecting too much on first impressions. I've been driving it with it now for over a week and its definitely very solid. It does move a little bit but nothing at all noticeable, much less something to complain about it. Very satisfied with this stand.

Now I jsut wish I'd have bought the Fanatac cross-platform wheel instead of a G25.

  • Sir, how many screws does it come with to mount the plate to the wheel?

  • 4 screws come for use with the Fanatec Porche wheel but only 2 are used for the G25

  • Will this work for xbox 360

  • separately sold adapter is needed but yes.

  • Sweet thankz

  • Did you get the cable sheath with the wheel stand or did you buy it separately?

  • Na I got that at my local PC store.

  • Ha ha cat in the box 0:38

  • I have updated the review now that my shifter adapter is here. Check it out in the Video Responses above...

  • do u need 2 buy any extra parts to install it into PS2 or PS3?

  • You'll probably need a USB extender cable with one female end and one male end so that you can reach from your couch/chair to your TV/PS3.

  • Good review.. You have the adjuster backwards .. the one you banged your knees into.. It needs to face towards the TV. :-)

Check out our channel when you get a chance :-)

  • haha that's funny, I'll take a closer look at that. Seemed like the knob would come in contact with my pedals when I collapsed it though if I had it on the other side...so I just put it on the front. Hmm. I'm used to it now, but I guess it's one more reason to do a follow up review once my shifter adaptor comes. Review fail, lol.

  • Heh Ok I'm not crazy. In the instructions it definitely shows the height adjustment knob facing the knees, not the TV.

  • How much does it weights with the package?

    Great review!

    /martin

  • Thanks!

Sorry I do not have any information on the weight. To guess, I would say it weighed more than 10 kilos. Fanatec has good customer support, they may be able to tell you exactly if you send them an email.

  • I think it's around 27lbs

  • Just received mine, and I have a big issue with the wheel not staying upright no matter how hard I tighten the two bolts with the little wrench. It seems to be a poor decision to have made the sides that come in contacts perfectly smooth. I'm considering putting some thin rubber washers between them if they fit. Otherwise the wheel just drops down. Did you have any issue with this? I don't know why they didn't cut grooves so that you could lock the wheel at a bunch of angles.

  • Just use a full sized wrench. The one they included is useless for final tightness.

  • I guess I'll have to. I'm just worried I'll over tighten it and strip the screws... but they're big screws so it's probably impossible for me to do that.

  • Also, on the Fanatec site, I've just noticed a "pedal stopper" accessory for $15 that bolts to the base to keep the pedals from sliding back. Not that you couldn't make something on your own for like $2, but I hadn't noticed that accessory before.

  • as well GT5Prologue works with Clutch and shifter, so too bad it does not have any extension on the cockpit.

    Nice reveiw

  • They do sell an adaptor so you can use the shifter. I'm still waiting for it to come in the mail though!

  • Would it be possible to assemble it so that the knob on the pole (ahem) is facing the other side?

How stable does it stand while driving?

Will it wobble if you drive too enthousiastically?

  • Hi jeroen79. I don't think that would work because then when you fold it down, the knob would come into contact with your pedals. The stand is very stable. I haven't noticed any wobble...it looks a little loose in one scene, but that's my fault for not tightening it up properly.

  • Cute kitty, handsome man
