  • Nice and I could almost smell tit. However, a far cry from the original recipy: filled karp - hence the name. The whole fish was cleaned and filled with a mixture of herbs, breadcrubms, egg and very, very slowly boiled in stock. Eated cold with braine (hoerseraddish), witloof and freshly baked bread.

    I explained them as fish cannelles of fish bullettes to my non-Jewish friends. I started by calling it a fish ball but that got a laugh so up graded it to a french description. ;+>

  • Nice, we Chinese have similar dishes but it's named "Fish balls" or "Fish cakes"
