  • improvisation for some artists leads to developing pieces..., yet, there is something to be said for a piece remaining as such...

as you express here, fearlessly your connection to the discourse of music...

i am listening to this in the context that the piece is an expressive trance..

    bravo

  • @douglassmcann

It is an interesting comment you make. And I appreciate the way you listen to the piece. In my opinion, It is a recommendation for everyone

Thanks for taking time to share your thoughts.

  • Beautiful improvisation ! Wonderful ! 5*

  • Thank You. Really nice words !

  • ah. thank you :) that's useful. actually, i piano 12 years already through russian teacher and got told off a lot for improvising. hehe.

but i've groped a piano in 4years :D lol. maybe...i should show my work? i am quite shy to play for others

  • *i've not played a piano in 4 years

  • You can always post a video and make it 'private' and send the link. So I can watch it !?

  • wow. that's great. any advise for a budding junior in improvisation?

  • Okay, let's try to tell my story in short terms. 1. I am self taught. I can't read sheet music. So my 'instruments' are playing, trying, trying again, remembering, listening and feeling with my hands. It feels every day like you don't have progress but as you see, after years, there is progress indeed. And.. you develop an original style: it is you !

  • 2. I don 't play chords at the left hand and melody with the right hand. That is quite common I Think. I play a kind of melody and rhythm together at the same moment with my two hands. So my advise: also practise drumming all kinds of rhythms with your hands on the table and everywhere.

  • 3. My support when I start playing is a pattern of chords in my head. That is all. So any (basic) knowledge about chords is useful. When I am playing I vary with those chords and patterns impulsively.

    Is this something ?

    Ciao Johan (Jsolco)
