@0hgimem0 I'm not making any pretense of being a decent musician. I was just making a point about the meaning of the song. It's not just this girl either. It's just really weird to see "scene" girls and girls with heavy makeup covering this song like it's some typical cheesy love song. That's the nature of Radiohead, though. Their lyrics and music has meaning, but it's lost to a significant portion of the band's fans who just think it's your usual alternative rock.

So no...I don't agree it's ironic because the lyrical content is not saying a girl is fake because she wears makeup..The whole song is metaphoric.. the verse he sings (to me) means she is trying to create an image of herself that she feels is ideal when in turn is a false representation of her true being. I am not a superficial person..so yes your comments are insulting.

I do like your cover--a unique version that allowed me to hear your voice (which is very nice by the way) without feeling compelled to compare you to Radiohead's original. Most covers of this classic don't hold a candle to Thom's creation because they attempt to emulate what he manifested- which is just not going to happen. An artist is better off showcasing her talent by making the best of the song, owning her own unique gift of voice and artistic interpretation, and being true to her own soul.

Probably my favourite cover of my favourite song. Usually covering Radiohead makes people look silly, they either change it too much (which is suicidal) or try to do it like Radiohead (which is suicidal). I love what you did here, it was original but managed to maintain the beauty of the original. It almost sounded like your own song. I haven't heard your other covers, nor do I intend to, but I really think your voice is perfect for this song. Thom Yorke would be proud. Thank you for this.
