Woodsball is better imo. takes more skill because you have to be able to shoot accurately cause your shooting at long distance with brush and stuff in your way not jsut spray a whole hopper of paint at some dude like 30 feet away from you. You also have to be able to strategize. And you have to be low profile at times and there is just way more skill involved. Speedball is about gear cause all u do is just spray. I compteted in UWL and i was on a speedball team so i kno my shit

How? because i wouldn't stand a chance niether would a amature because closed valve guns are faster, lighter and just as good as any woodsball gun out there. instead of trying to make a gun look milsim by adding red dots, shoulder stocks ect.... buy a good fast speedbal gun and use that with a good tank. speed ftw. its a lot more strategy. you have very limited space to move. in woods, if you screw up, you can just duck behind a bush and crawl. plus many of you have paintnades and tanks. dont got that in speed. they're both good, but speed, to me, is funner, more exhilirating, harder to play, plus i dont like the whole milsim thing
nothing for the most part. airball is speedball, its just a more specific type. theres also scenario speedball (spools, cars, haybales, wood, bigger appliances, etc), and hyperball(black sewage pipes, sometimes includes barricades)

and another thing i notice about woodsball is why carry around a full deck out tippman a-5 that shoot 18-25 or so pantballs when you can carry around a small and lighter speedball gun that can shoot the same.

Paintball is awesome, period. Each type teaches different things. Most woodsball players have crappy snapshooting and bunker skills. Most speedball players have crappy stalking and sneaking skills. The best players I've seen play both. Woodsball will teach you how to avoid sticky situations by sneaking to get your opponent. Speedball will teach you to get out of situations by thinking fast and maneuvering while firing.

I started playing woodsball about 9 years ago but then I got hooked on speedball. I am considering playing more woodsball nut I still love the pace of a speedball game. But if it wasn't for woodsball there would be no speedball.

I would definately say speedball is better but woodsball can be fun as well. I went to a scenario with a couple of my teammates last weekend and we were just destroying all the woodsball people with their like $1000 tippmans or whatever they had. They lacked the fundamentals of paintball. We could easily get behind a tree and snapshoot them out with ease. But all in all I defiantely agree woodsball is a thousand times better then airsoft.
I've done both... to get my feet wet in paintball I played scenario but I watch a learned the skill that it takes to play speedball... an I will tell ya something speedball is more intense, cuz U can sit back an hide U have to get up there in the nitty gritty.

This is the difference (to me) between Woodsball and Speedball...In speedball, if people of equal skill and experience battle, then the outcome of that battle will be determined by who has the better guns. If the same scenario goes for Woodsball, then the outcome is determined by luck. And to compensate for skill, SB players can do so with a better gun; but, WB players can do so with better luck. Of course that is my opinion so you don't have to agree with it.

It is almost impossible to compare the two their is really one similarity...they both shoot paintballs. I really don't think there's a defined "better" choice here. honestly I love the hectic, fast action of speedball, but I also like the tactic, suspense and surprises that comes with woodsball. I guess it all comes down to what mood I'm in.
im gonna have to side with both cuz i fight in urban combat therefore i need the fast reactions of speedball but the tactical skill of woodsball. and trust me, both together really work, they saved my life in Afghanistan and Iraq

Paintball is awesome, period. Each type teaches different things. Most woodsball players have crappy snapshooting and bunker skills. Most speedball players have crappy stalking and sneaking skills. The best players I've seen play both. Woodsball will teach you how to avoid sticky situations by sneaking to get your opponent. Speedball will teach you to get out of situations by thinking fast and maneuvering while firing.

I have to agree with sasquatch.....not that you guys are pussies.....hell you guys can take a beating...but where is the strategy in speedball? or even real teamwork?....not to mention that speedball will put a hole in your pocket fast. I've played both and have to admit that I enjoy woodsball so much more. a good woodsball player will get 8 guys in the head with 8 shots....a speedball player will get 8...in about 200, not to mention it's usually in teh shoulder or leg, or hopper

ok to stop the arguments just get it straight that everyone likes theyre own style of paintball, speedball is more of a contest, or competition of who can get who out, and woodsball is like a simulation of real war, with real looking guns and camo, ghillies ect. and also luke2832 you are the retard here, its not about how fast your gun goes its about skill. trust me ive won with my 98 on semi against quite a few people with 17 bps. and also ive got APE on my gun so ive got different firing modes

i play woodsball with the newer rap5 vest and a super uhauled MR1 which is a pretty cheap gun but i added a 19" barrel speedloader semi/full auto trigger gun butt laser sight ACOG red dotted scope sighting with nightvission extra

i only play woodsball, and im equipped with a tippmann because of it. i like the strategy that's involved, and the war-like feel of the game. i can understamd why other people like speedball: its quick, aggressive, and there's an adrenaline rush. neither is better than the other, it all depends on the style you like. and i hate faggots who call other people faggots because they think their style is better.

I would definately say speedball is better but woodsball can be fun as well. I went to a scenario with a couple of my teammates last weekend and we were just destroying all the woodsball people with their like $1000 tippmans or whatever they had. They lacked the fundamentals of paintball. We could easily get behind a tree and snapshoot them out with ease. But all in all I defiantely agree woodsball is a thousand times better then airsoft.

This is the difference (to me) between Woodsball and Speedball...In speedball, if people of equal skill and experience battle, then the outcome of that battle will be determined by who has the better guns. If the same scenario goes for Woodsball, then the outcome is determined by luck. And to compensate for skill, SB players can do so with a better gun; but, WB players can do so with better luck. Of course that is my opinion so you don't have to agree with it.

It is almost impossible to compare the two their is really one similarity...they both shoot paintballs. I mean look at a bt-4 combat, then look at dm7...the strategies are completly different, the equipment is like opposite poles.
