I have a 72 ss nova, just got it will be a 7.0 motor new GM, all the classic trim, much like the black one at the end of your slide show, air induction, supercharged and turbo charged, street legal, 1055 hp.@ rear axle. Great video.

I bought a 1972 Nova SS brand new. Cragar SS mags, 350, 4bbl, posi, 4 sp. Beautiful Red . The down side was they derated the motors in 1972 to burn regular gas. The 71 was a hot motor, but the 72 was a dog! (10 mpg) I put glass packs on the duel exhaust which helped alot, but I was still getting beat by smaller motors. When the gas went to 60 cents a gallon, I traded it for a hopped up Datsun pickup. (30 mpg) Of course I'd kill to get my Nova back now!

i had a '71 nova i bought in 1980. it had belonged to a waitress in our small town that had taken very good care of it since new. it has ps, air and a powerglide. it had the 307 cid with i think 205 hp. it was a very solid car and no rust. i drove it for a few months and while idling threw the timing chain. almost the entire valve train was ruined. i wound up selling it to a mechanic that fixed it and gave it to his daughter. just after that, i bought a '79 monte carlo and drove it for 2 years.

Fuck....the one at 1:00 is awsome. Probally the cleanest one I've seen. I love big rims and everything on classic hotrods but I would'nt touch this one. Just sit in my garage all day and hump it.

That "whale tail" is the standard spoiler off of a Gen 1 camaro, like the orange one you mentioned. There's a few novas with them on there... there's even a Z/28 nova on youtube somewheres. Orange and white stripes... doesn't look too bad tbh.
