I think the first season was way more concrete; the presentation kind of reticulates these beliefs. It's kind of sad that such a wonderful theory is presented like a sci-fi movie. I'm pretty sure they didn't have to be that "impressive" in order to be understood by the general public - in fact it's most likely that "unreal" sense of it would actually drive them away. This definitely needed much more work although I'm glad everything is concentrated in one place.

So, let me get this straight...These "extra-terrestrials" can travel space and time to arrive here on earth but they gotta stack a bunch of rocks to know where to park? Don't they have GPS?
The earth is millions of years old. The crust of the earth has been recycled several times, slowly but surely. What if we are the remnants of a civilization that existed hundreds of thousands of years ago, that was lost because of cataclysmic events? There would hardly be any traces left by today. What if we are not inventing technology, but redescovering it? What if our imagination is simply DNA memory leaking in to consciousness?
Concerning cameras and other electronic devices: it seems to me that it is not the functionality of such a device, it is the radio-electronic transmission that is blocked in that particular region. In this sense a closed system like a camera might work in those given circumstances if not having to pass on the material via wireless connection. In the other hand, I would expect electronic disturbance recorded on the footage though. Could there be an adequate shielding on the cam to prevent that?

The people in this series are not simply asking questions they are insisting that their view is correct and that mainstream archaeologists are wrong or ignorant. In order for the ancient astronaut theory to be true they must first prove the existence of aliens, then prove that mankind was not capable of doing these things themselves. Use your brain man. Think. Reason.
@TheTubePortal Yes, you have a point there with the "parrot thing" :-) , yet common sense is the one that tells me the pyramids - for example - could not have been built the way conventional archeology tells us. In these programmes multiple explanations are put forward by different people so us the viewers have to decide whichone we believe more. But the only certain thing is that presently nothing should be taken for granted - conventional/alternative - until decicive evidence is found at last.
@georak100 That's the key - using common sense. But we cannot always trust our senses, which is why it's important to test an hypotheses. As I've said in other comments the ancient library at Alexandria had several fires which destroyed almost half a MILLION scrolls which means our knowledge of the ancient world is limited. I believe ancient man were much smarter than we give them credit. It's fun to speculate, but one must also be careful not to take it too seriously without evidence.
Theories... concepts... It is nothing different from the mechanism of how "conventional" science progresses. What bothers me a bit when listening to these guys putting forward their views is that in SOME CASES they seem to be a bit sketchy in their explanations. As if they weren't meticulous enough to rule out every conventional interpretation.
Never the less, I generally believe in these theories. They make much sense to me.
For non-believers: no need for "shit", "moms-ass" and such comments.
@georak100 Two main problems: 1. many of the claims made were debunked long ago & this is documented but the producers chose to ignore it, why?; 2. the "scientific method" must be followed when it comes to hypotheses, but these "theorists" never use it. First look at information, then form an hypothesis, test it, form a theory, present the evidence to peers & see if they come to the same conclusions, then refine your theory. This is never done here, only speculation from previous speculation.
@tvand I guess you've probably never edited a video before. You don't have to use footage from the place you are describing to give the viewer an idea of what it is like. It's probably not video from the spot they're talking about. Maybe it is; but probably not.

I think the first season was way more concrete; the presentation kind of reticulates these beliefs. It's kind of sad that such a wonderful theory is presented like a sci-fi movie. I'm pretty sure they didn't have to be that "impressive" in order to be understood by the general public - in fact it's most likely that "unreal" sense of it would actually drive them away. This definitely needed much more work although I'm glad everything is concentrated in one place.

Now that's just a matter of interpretations ! And let's do say that they found tool marks, but are tools the only thing capable of causing the mark. I would say NO, there are thousands of other things capable of causing it, but why did they say they were done by tools?Because it makes sense in THEIR head !

I really enjoy reading the comments from creationists. Come on now... science is simply using knowledge, experience and study to try and figure out why we are and how we got here. Creationists think some entity, never seen or lived just made things out of nothing into something and we are crazy? Think of it this way, if you can honestly believe there is a creator then you should seriously have the capacity to think there could be aliens (or at least life) somewhere else and alternate theories.

The earth is millions of years old. The crust of the earth has been recycled several times, slowly but surely. What if we are the remnants of a civilization that existed hundreds of thousands of years ago, that was lost because of cataclysmic events? There would hardly be any traces left by today. What if we are not inventing technology, but redescovering it? What if our imagination is simply DNA memory leaking in to consciousness?

Concerning cameras and other electronic devices: it seems to me that it is not the functionality of such a device, it is the radio-electronic transmission that is blocked in that particular region. In this sense a closed system like a camera might work in those given circumstances if not having to pass on the material via wireless connection. In the other hand, I would expect electronic disturbance recorded on the footage though. Could there be an adequate shielding on the cam to prevent that?

The people in this series are not simply asking questions they are insisting that their view is correct and that mainstream archaeologists are wrong or ignorant. In order for the ancient astronaut theory to be true they must first prove the existence of aliens, then prove that mankind was not capable of doing these things themselves. Use your brain man. Think. Reason.

@TheTubePortal Yes, you have a point there with the "parrot thing" :-) , yet common sense is the one that tells me the pyramids - for example - could not have been built the way conventional archeology tells us. In these programmes multiple explanations are put forward by different people so us the viewers have to decide whichone we believe more. But the only certain thing is that presently nothing should be taken for granted - conventional/alternative - until decicive evidence is found at last.

@georak100 That's the key - using common sense. But we cannot always trust our senses, which is why it's important to test an hypotheses. As I've said in other comments the ancient library at Alexandria had several fires which destroyed almost half a MILLION scrolls which means our knowledge of the ancient world is limited. I believe ancient man were much smarter than we give them credit. It's fun to speculate, but one must also be careful not to take it too seriously without evidence.

Theories... concepts... It is nothing different from the mechanism of how "conventional" science progresses. What bothers me a bit when listening to these guys putting forward their views is that in SOME CASES they seem to be a bit sketchy in their explanations. As if they weren't meticulous enough to rule out every conventional interpretation.
Never the less, I generally believe in these theories. They make much sense to me.
For non-believers: no need for "shit", "moms-ass" and such comments.

@georak100 Two main problems: 1. many of the claims made were debunked long ago & this is documented but the producers chose to ignore it, why?; 2. the "scientific method" must be followed when it comes to hypotheses, but these "theorists" never use it. First look at information, then form an hypothesis, test it, form a theory, present the evidence to peers & see if they come to the same conclusions, then refine your theory. This is never done here, only speculation from previous speculation.

@tvand I guess you've probably never edited a video before. You don't have to use footage from the place you are describing to give the viewer an idea of what it is like. It's probably not video from the spot they're talking about. Maybe it is; but probably not.
