it's so cool and understanding of Ellen's mom to accept her for who she is. Chely's dad too is great for accepting his daughter. Sadly this topic is a big no no whr I come from and my folks are not for it.
I love both Ellen and Chely. Chely's book literally saved my life as a gay gal in a small town - coming from a very similar situation as her. Ellen makes my heart smile. Even though my father (a harsh, staunch Baptist preacher) says they are both "utterly disgusting," I know with all my heart that they represent the purest, most beautiful hearts that we have in the world nowadays. They are what it means to be a loving human being. My brave role models... <3 :)
@iLOVEBradPLukeBJoshT grow up and marry a wonderful man, have a beautiful family, play pretend weddings with our friends, listen to our friends talk about whose going to be whose bridesmaid and what the dresses are going to look like, then you have the one little girl, nodding and agreeing, because god knows at that age to disagree is asking to be picked on, sitting there thinking.. i'm nothing like them, theres something wrong with me. and that is sad.
I first heard it in English class last year (we were talking about deeper meanings of things like rivers) and I had no idea any of this. I had never even heard of her. Now, though, I've realized that I could definitely learn from Chely.
If you love your mom repost this to 20 other videos. A girl didnt so her mom died 365 days later. I'm sorry I had to repost this because I love my mom. -3
She said she grew up in Wellsville, Kansas, and it honestly does not surprise me she didn't find anyone like her in Wellsville. That is where my mother grew up, and my grandparents still live there, and it is this tiny hole-in-the-wall town where nothing has changed in the last fifty years or so. My grandparents have lived in the same trailer park with the same neighbors for my entire life. I'm glad she got out and found herself.
@iLOVEBradPLukeBJoshT Ummmm I am a big Brad Paisley fan...but she should not feel terrible about trying to be what society says she has to be. She didnt mean to hurt him, she just couldnt love him that way. He is happy now, and so is she. Why can't we leave it at that?
Aw, that was so sweet. :) I almost teared up when she was explaining her book title. I've actually never heard of Chely, though, but she seems like a great person. Good for her!
I think it's great when someone takes their heart out to show you, it's even better when the world sees it because with every truth their is less deceit. When we all show what's colors we really our is when the hate can start to stop.
srry if this question is offensive in any way, but where is ellen's mom or dad?

Anyone who watched this needs to listen to
her song "The River."
I first heard it in English class last year (we were talking about deeper meanings of things like rivers) and I had no idea any of this. I had never even heard of her. Now, though, I've realized that I could definitely learn from Chely.
Chely is strong enough for any challenge.
