Hey bud I've got a ceiling fan here from the dumpster as well. I cut the wires off short when taking it apart so I had to take off the back cover to get to the wires and pull them out. anyway seen a few people do this and I was seeking to make a generator homemade with my own coils and magnets and use the ceiling fan (it has a flat surface) for a vertical axis type.. not sure what I want to do at the moment. yea that cover was a bitch wasn't it?
