@Zionikk I studied CAD Drafting and Design at Owens State Community College. There was not a class for advanced modeling and surface modeling in Solidworks until after I created this sword. I’m not sure if it is now part of the curriculum or not. I felt it was a decent degree and I now work with a few of my classmates under the title of Mechanical Engineer.
would love to see a step by step through some of the more complex surfaces. do you alter the lighting at all to get your glass to look more real? when i turn on the realview graphics my glass does not look as good as that. thanks for posting.
WOW!!!!! that's amazing!!! I design swords on solidworks to, though nothing as intricate as this. Maybe you could check out some of my swords and give me some tips, you can find a video at my channel.
do you think you could go into more detail on exactly how you created your sketches and planes? i am trying to make a sword and am having a lot of trouble.
I see your from Ohio, me too. What school do you go to, to learn this?
