  • The Wright Brothers airplane, engines and everything else is on loan to the Smithsonian with the stipulation that they must defend any and all claims against it being the first to fly or they will lose them. There are stories of people finding photos and newspaper articles about powered flight prior to the Wrights and sent it to the Smithsonian for investigation but it was never seen again.

  • I want everybody to know what happened to me: At video Wright Brothers First Flight & Wright Brothers First Flying Machine(PBS Nova) I was denied to continue posting my comments" Comments Pending Approval & Error Try Again" This is the powerful media with their Propaganda Machine telling where you should eat your grass, is this a free country or what. Can I like G.Curtiss & Europeans aviators and dislike the Wright Brothers. Anywhere the word Wright appear I am blocked. At YT you can't complain.

  • Nice !

  • Nice !

  • Nice Brazillian invencion!!!!!!!

  • Santos Dumont's Demoiselle?

  • this is the first commercial aircraft in the world designed by the Brazilian Santos Dummont strong collaboration French ,the invention of the airplane in the world by Brazil and France

  • Forget about Flyers or even 14-Bis, the first airplane truly CONTROLLED was the "Demoiselle" invented by Santos Dumont, 102 years ago !

  • @kenzoyur The 1905 wright flyer was the first fully controllable aircraft. The 1903 was also controllable, but needed some tweaking. All the problems were resolved with the 1905 wright flyer.

  • @cashstore1 Wait a minute you are supposed to make a comment in this video of the Demoiselle of Alberto Santos Dumont. Forget 1903 or 1905. France was a first power nation where the action was, the brothers knew about the event but did not show up in Paris for the competition. No brothers replicas could fly in 2003,

most of all replicas 14 Bis & Demoiselle of Santos Dumont could fly by anyone in 2006.

  • @Verdelufe I really don't understand your point as I was commenting on Kenzoyur's comment. I don't have to make a point on this video if I don't want to. I don't know what you are alluding to with the 2003 attempt of the replica flyer, other than the sustained winds were not sufficient for lift off. If you think Dumont was the first to fly you are seriously deficient in the facts and I would suggest you read a few books about it. You should not broadcast your ignorance.
